After hearing this thumbnail sketch of history it is amazing to me that freedom for the people ever happened, and I can only see it as a happy rarity. I can't see any sense in having a sense of loyalty or awe towards any elites and ruling families we are burdened with since these usurped others and have been in turn usurped by others. There is no divine right of kings; just the victory of brute force, and to some degree, pure luck. This is perhaps why the ruling class don't want the children to learn real history; they want to maintain control by using ignorance of the fact that these elites are ruthless barbarians to which the peoples owe nothing.

Note: that Bohemia, is well within the German Reich of the time. This historic heart of the German Nation, was handed over to foreign peoples by the dictates of Versailles/Trianon/Saint Germain, in 1919, depriving over three million ethnic Germans of their sovereignty, and leading to the Munich conference of Sept 1938. The reunification of Bohemia with the Reich, was a joyous event, and was not part of the evil that followed later.

The structure of this is too jammed and convoluted. In one sentence the script describes something, and someone else came, but 200 years before someone else had done this, so it led to that in the north and that in the south. THEN, in Frankia, so and so was doing this, which was disastrous because.
Without already knowing medieval history, this medieval history video is hard to follow.
This would be better if there were a more focused through line. And divide into sections with an audible break, as needed.

Excellent content. One advice, don't narrate the whole thing, you need pauses and other means of delivering info. Like other voices, when possible, audio bits, no matter how short, to break the monotony. No matter how well done it is, and this is really good, you can't narrate the whole length. Same for music, dont need it all the time. If you watch early docs by Simon Schama and what he does now you can see that he learned that lesson over time. And Michael Wood, for example, did it right from the very beginning.

Really dig your voiceover work! Congrats on really having some damn great talent, especially being able to be subtle, yet sensitive to the scripts meaning, and the narrative of the story you are telling. Ive spent a good portion of my adult life recording voice overs, with many being some pretty famous actors and voice artists, and you are one of my favourites to listen to honestly. You just do everything I enjoy in a voice over for a documentary like this!

Look, I hate to throw stones because your love of the subject is evident and the facts that you are communicating are interesting, but the language is awful. Ramming together strings of trite phrases that sound like they have been lifted from a computer game soundtrack is not good enough. I sometimes think that you don't actually know what the words that you are saying mean.
Get some help with the scripts and keep up the good work.

They really should do a proof of concept to show people it is viable. Like a 1/10th the size one to work out the kinks. Plus would be cheaper cause you wouldn't need a lot of the features.
Might be even able to take a currently existing cruise ship and just retro fit it with what is needed to live and work.

It's interesting most recounts of history are of warfare. I am curious in day to day activities, lifestyles/social circles, social constructs etc. The boring day to day things which one in the moment does not find significant. War is obviously a tramatic event which bleeds over other details of certain eras.

What was egypt like in the middle ages. This was never taught in school, we always hear the egyptian empire, cleopatra and alexabdra great. But when empire ended, what happened from 400, 500, 600, 800, 1000ad and beyond. these periods are never taught in school

Looking at the map. isn't it weird how after a millennium of moving all across its part of the map (and frequently stopping to exist) modern Poland ended up with almost the exact same terrain it had in 1000 AD?
