Why Is Kubrick's -2001: A Space Odyssey- Significant? - History Gregory: HAL goes insane? I know you're reading a script, but HAL doesn't really go -insane-. And to compare HAL to Siri or Alexa. um, not really. Another example of -Don't believe everything you see on the innernettt-. And to think I believed History to be slim on propaganda and mis-information. That'll learn me.

This may sound a little nitpicky, but the first space station was not MIR, but Salyut 1, which was launched in 1971, a full 15 years before MIR. Your research team may need to do a little more research.

Kubrick's work here --as elsewhere - -ultimately scans as a time release disclosure and send up of the space hoax craft.
Take another look with what should by now have figured out.

It was all propaganda movie preparing people to accept the moon landing which happened a year or so later. Coincidence? I don-t think so
