People act as if only Japan was guilty of this militaristic jingoism. But the western nations, america and Europe, were in their own way just as guilty. History is all too often written by the winners. The atrocities, and crimes against humanity committed by Japan during WW2, are mirrored by the atrocities committed by the American military during the wars against the indigenous people, and the horrors of the Transatlantic African slave trade. Not to mention the senseless wars in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Once again a shining example of American white people being the pot calling the kettle black.
