The Nasty Private Parties Of The Roman Elite - A Day In History

The Roman Empire fell in the 5th century AD, prey to internal corruption, disputes, and many enemies on and within its borders. Despite being just a memory for over fifteen hundred years, the ancient Romans, whose territory included almost the entire coast of the Mediterranean even before an emperor ruled them, have cast a long shadow. The politics of many nations today are based upon many ancient Roman principles. So are laws and modern Western architecture - just three things descended from ancient Rome. First, the language of Rome, Latin, is one of the two main building blocks of many modern European languages, along with Greek. Second, English words coming directly from Latin are convivial and conviviality, relating to a pleasant but not overly raucous good time with good company. The party was quite convivial, and all the guests enjoyed the spirit of conviviality encouraged by the party's hosts. Third, the Romans called some of their parties convivium, a relatively sedate private banquet whose Latin definition means living together. A successfully convivialconviviumcould last for many hours or even days. Today we shall talk about the nasty private parties of roman emperiors like Caligula, Nero, and Augustus, etc. Upper-class Romans, just like the members of the upper-classes world-wide today, had access to the most exotic and expensive foods of the day. Usually, a Roman banquet would include three meals, the gustatio, today's hors d'oeuvres. Incidentally the English word gustation, is a direct link to ancient Rome, and means the act of tasting. The main course was called Mensa primae or the main table, and dessert, Mensa secundae, or secondary table

The part that hasn't changed is that things start with the elite and once regular people do it the elite decide it is no longer good and needs to be stopped. Names flow from the elite to regular people and then die off as well. Perhaps for the next few decades us normies will name our kids strange names that involve symbols and strange sounds and then the elite will look down on that and go back to regular names again. I particularly think it stinks that regular people finally accepted that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin and then the elite decided that wasn't good anymore and actually we do need to factor in race and separate people by race. Perhaps if we jump on board with seeing nothing but race they will abandon that and move on to something else. Maybe one day we can stop the cycle and stop following their direction completely. It isn't about the elite being right so much as being different and maintaining that difference is what allows them to feel elite whether they are claiming it is being done for society or admit it is for them, but they would never admit the truth for that is not what makes someone part of the elite or allows them to remain elite. By elite I don't mean wealthy or powerful but rather that group of people that looks down on everyone else and tries to keep them down at any cost.

It should be noted that Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, and Nero were all efficient men who ruled reasonably well (especially since the Roman Empire was a very new thing and they were in a trial-and-error stage, but the previous ruling elite (who were oligarchs in a modern term) hated them for soaking up all the power and transferring it to a heir. _Hence_ all the accusations of incest and debaucheries and defiling the dignity of the senate. There is no reason to believe they were pure and saintly, but the kind of evil and foolishness that the (edit: contemporary _chroniclers, _ not historians, silly me) ascribe to them is just propaganda.

Like he says, nothing changes for the those with the Coin and Power. Ole Jeffery Epstein riding Billing Clinton, Billy Gates, Prince Andy and Donnie Trump around to rape young girls of lower means. All the names will never come out; just like Heidi Fleiss, cash for basketball players, the silly Bohemian Club playing in the forest and all these other Eyes Wide Shut murderers, abusers and butchers. If the rich and power wanted to roast you for an afternoons entertainment, the LEOs would bast you up in a heartbeat and light the fire, like a snap.

the image of caligula that keeps being shown is actually of Malcolm McDowell, of clockwork orange fame, who starred as the title character in bob guccione's infamously produced 6 million dollar porn film caligula. the movie contained several highly ranked, well known actors, including McDowell, John Gielgud and Peter O'Toole, none of whom appeared in any of the porn segments of the film. and, no, i've never seen the film. its said to be pretty gross.

Well. leaving aside the debate regarding whether the nastiest excesses of the Roman rulers was mere propaganda spread by their enemies and rivals or not, I find the upper classes stuffing themselves on the richest and rarest of delicacies to the point that they needed to vomit to make room for more while the poorest citizens had trouble putting food of any kind on the table. and the most unfortunate just went hungry. pretty obscene.

I bet the hollyweird stars make this look like Sunday school, These stars have done the most disgusting things you can name or imagine for money and fame, I bet if people knew what ninety nine percent of these weirdos have done you wouldn't watch no movie there in, Disgusting is probably a very very understatement what these sick perverted twisted nasty filthy nuts have done.

people don't drink water not because of bad water, but because why drink water? Greeks also never did drink water - they knew its drinkable but considered barbaric.
why it is so unusual, when said I can drink water, but on rare occasions, may several times a year people say that am gonna die)

Origins of the Rule of Law
Israel: the law comes from a higher power.
Greece: the public votes for law.
Rome: the law is used for social order.
England: universality of law for everyone.
America: culmination of the all the above.

Maybe it's just me, but i would find spending the time of a party lying on my stomach, propped up on my elbows, very uncomfortable after a short while. I'd much prefer a recliner.
