There are three Reichs counted by historians (this word related to rich survives in bishopric in EN) that took place in Germany:
The first Reich: the Holy Roman Empire (800CE 1806CE) of which Voltaire famously stated in the XVIIIth c. was neither holy, nor Roman nor an empire.
The second Reich: the German Empire (1871CE1918CE) read JM Hawes amusing book Englanders and Huns to learn some of more about this if interested.
The third Reich _Das Dritte Reich_ ( -one THOUSAND- 1933 1945) And we all know the outcome of this one, praise the Sun.

germany should be praised for not fully taking the other kingdoms, yes united but still their army and bro i personally live in bayern aka bavaria and they have their own president and such like a normal country
well there were refenderums about bayern being a country but rejected like germany cant have the wealth and safety status without bayern also bayern people are happy on united germany so yes
the full plot is that there is no country like germany that gives a autonomy to its provinces that you cannot expect on other countries

A client of mine insists on being called prince because his family used to be royal and he still owns their palace. A truly ridiculous person if you ask me but as long as he pays Ill call him prince C. He is hated by the entire village, he owns a lot of houses there, never renovating or spending any money on maintenance for his properties.

The 'fun' part is that the former German royalty, Kings family etc. are still 'around' if you care to look. They just do 'normal rich people stuff' like run compaies, act as Judges, elected politicians etc. or flaunt their fortunes in places like Dubai or the Maldives like other non-former-royal rich people without much to do

Here in Bavaria we still have our duke Herzog Franz von Bayern who does not carry an official title but is still very respected. I own a protectorate badge with his insignia which he awards to members of the shooting society. To the people in my environment, this means a lot more than an official merit.

Europe screwed Germany hard and then when Germany tried to break out, Germany was punished hard. Yet, today, Germany is the wealthiest country in Europe, by far. Even after being ganged up on in World Wars, Germany is still supreme. It isnt a coincidence.

2 questions left unanswered. Where is their wealth now, where are their offsprings now? Are they all still in Germany or did they flee with their money elsewhere? Is there a former kings grandson sitting in a castle somewhere in Germany?

First among equals - yeah, sure, never in the history of mankind did this leave the other equals with zero practical power soon thereafter. :) Julius Caesar, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Joseph Stalin, and many others supported this message.

Fun fact: In my great grand-parents documents there is still the writing kingdom of Saxony, then crossed out and replaced by free-state of Saxony. I think they were handed out somewhere around 1900) talk about recycling!

It is a bit more complex.
An emperor can rule kings, they did not stop being royalty. Similar to the many princes that are still royalty right now. The Austrian emprie was similarly a ruler of kings (bohemia and Hungary,

Kingdom of Bohemia was hereditary estate of Habsburgs since 1628. Austrian emperors were also the czech kings. They refused to join to the great germany conception and they become relatively independent till WW1.

Dead, they're all dead. When the king loses the war against a neighboring state, off with his head along with his entire extended family, including the dogs. That will eliminate the chance of revenge later.

Can you imagine being the oldest son of a king who abdicated? One day you think youre going to rule the world, the next your filling out an application on the back of a tray liner to be a line cook.

You should do a closer look into Thuringian States and their influence into world politics Almost all kingdoms are connected there and they have a lot to offer in political history

Bismarck remains one of the most competent rulers in history. A man who was willing to even ignore his own personal views to get his country on the right path.

Simple answer: The German empire was not an Empire of the people but of the kings. Every territory remained a federal state.
