How was Switzerland Formed? -The History of Switzerland Other satellite regions joining Switzerland OR rather seceding from their respective countries because it benefited them is NOT the same thing as Switzerland having expanded.
It was passive. Switzerland grew organically rather than conquering.
ALSO
You cannot talk about Switzerland-s neutrality without understanding its geography and economy. Without these factors it would have been easily absorbed into the surrounding countries. They didn-t acquire neutrality because of some higher minded aspiration. They were afforded these aspirations by their natural seclusion and the mutual attractive benefits of an independent economy.\r\n

The anabaptist or Swiss Brethren that migrated to the German Palatine area then to Pennsylvania at the invitation of of William Penn into Lancaster County Pennsylvania. My ancestors were Hans Meili, Rev. Hans Herr, Overhotlz, Barr, Kendig famiies. Meili name morphed into Miley which now span the whole of America. Thanks for the video.

I once went on a vacation with my family to Switzerland and i was really amazed with the structures i saw, The unmentioned factor is that everyone works hard. They had an unbelievable work ethic. The pioneer generation were given a good opportunity by an intelligent government, but they worked hard to improve themselves. Another unmentioned thing is the significant economic pressure on working families.

Just a reminder - the Swiss are alone in fully supporting Nazi ideology to this day and they stand behind their national company Nestle which is as you all know responsible for murdering babies. How was Switzerland formed? By murderers and rapists.

Very nice work! I just don't understand why it refers to the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy as Austria. It's so annoying because Hungary has existed for more than 1000 years. Somehow, many places seem to like forgetting this.

my buddy in Canada's dad was born in a Swiss farmhouse dating back to 1530. His German sounds Italian, and he looks EXACTLY like the ICEMAN: no dna test necessary. apparently Swiss have many dialects of German.

'When we think of Switzerland. ' we think of Illuminati, Black Nobility, Knights Templar, Rothschild Bank of International Settlements, Davos and Klaus Schwab and the WEF - just to be going on with.

If you want to explain the swiss history, you have to mention the battles of Morgarten (1315) and Sempach (1386. I think these battles were the most important in swiss history. Thanks for the video.

7: 53: the Swiss constitution was not modeled after the USA-s one, but after the one Napoleon had modelled for Switzerland and based on the French one. So is the Swiss Franc, the money-

At the beginning you forgot Liechtenstein. Every Swiss, I hope, knows the state of Liechtenstein. Please pay attention to this, otherwise the prince there will not be -amused-

Very well done, especially the maps, which are pretty accurate. One small mistake, though. It wasn't Napoleon who invaded Switzerland, but General -de Schauenburg- in 1798.

8: 15 small mistake in the map: Belgium was not part of the central powers (this map shows clearly europe before the outburst of WWI, not occupied territories by central powers)

In fact, Switzerland is essentially part of the EU. A Swiss national has all the rights and privileges of a full EU member.
They have a deal with the EU: )

I have huge admiration for Switzerland. A beautiful European country. They need to make sure their citizens are prepared to shake hands no matter their gender.

Switzerland came close to a civil war in the 1960s when the french-speaking part of canton Bern broke loose and eventually formed the new canton of Jura.
