Repeating back a melody by either singing it or playing it on an instrument. Suitable for candidates preparing for ABRSM Grade 5 practical exams. The first aural test for grade 5 involves the candidate repeating a melody that has been played twice by the examiner. After the examiner has played the tonic chord and the starting note, and has counted two bars of the pulse, the melody is played twice. The candidate is then invited to sing back the melody or to play it back on his or her instrument. I have my violin grade 5 notes tomorrow.....I-m very nervous.
And sometimes I can nail remembering the melody but if I-m distracted by like a footstep or something - I get distracted from the melody-. I-ve definitely improved but still thinking abt the repetition of the melody is scary-
