The Phrygian Cadence is a half cadence for minor keys. The Phrygian Cadence is iv6 to V chord. I'm not sure why they call it a phrygian cadence when the chord is the minor iv6 chord going to a V chord. When do you know when to use a Phrygian Cadence when looking at the melody line?

Hi! Thank you so much for the video. These are absolutely helping me to pass my theory. Can an Imperfect Cadence have the 3rd note of the scale to the 5th, or is it just the 1st, 2nd or 4th notes of the scale?
Thank you very much!

What is the name of the cadence that is IV-iv-I? I often see classical composers going from major IV to a minor iv to a I chord. The Hollywood Cadence is IV-iidim7 - I
