There is a problem with this line of thinking. Equality is a fallacy. No one is equal. Trying to force people to believe, or behave equally will always fail, because we all have differing experiences. The way someone else believes is therefore, none of my business, and quite frankly, none of yours. Trying to change people to conform with your own biases toward equality, or the lack thereof, is control, which is a form of abuse. People have the God given Right, to believe however they choose. So long as those beliefs don't lead to actions that would harm another, there is no court, or law that has jurisdiction in the matter. I am very biased, and am concious of that bias. Good video.

Biases are good because they help keep you safe, just as avoiding touching a hot stove because you know it will burn. If 9 out of 10 criminals in your town match a certain description, then it makes sense that when you see someone who matches that description walking towards you at night, you'll cross the street. That's a smart move, because the likelihood of them being a criminal is way higher than if the person walking towards you didn't match the description. I don't care about irrational feelings, or what's demanded by the PC culture. I will make reasonable, rational decisions based on facts.

I know I have implicit bias but I'm not sure on how to overcome it.
For example, I know not to typecast any group etc but if suddenly confronted, the instant reflex is usually driven by those biases (say fear) before you get enough time to remind yourself that there's no reason to feel this way.
This becomes even more important for people who need to take split second decisions while trusting their gut feeling (like law enforcement officials.

I like the idea not know the topic of the video, but to know that it will be informative.
5: 19 If you notice the news outlets you watch to, pick certain cultures or ethnic groups in a dangerous, unflattering or otherwise negative light, you might want to find a new station.
The problem is that every station I know has a certain bias. For me it is always good to think about how the stories could have been told in an other way.

I like this video even tho some of it doesn't apply to me. I've been indirectly raised to see the LGBTQ+ community as wrong my whole life, and yet I don't agree with that at all. I'm apart of it actually so it honestly confiuses me on how I came out so different compared to my family (and some of my friends, who apparently only sees things in black and white and can't seem to accept the fact that the times are changing

Asking someone where are you from? may sound friendly and not harmless at all, but, just realize that when this question pops up in every single conversation a foreigner person has, it starts to appear as hey, you are differnt!
Please, do not ask that question, eventually, if the person feels like he will mention it at some point.

This was really interesting, I was just watching a video about how the vast majority of people will maintain a similar earning level to the environment they were born in and I think the bias mentioned in the videos play a huge role, not just sociologically (as discussed here) but also financially

I use to say I wouldn't have prejudes but actually I know I have some. I hide them and I hope I hide them well. I learned they aren't true actually through social media and I try to overcome them. I'm still not fully successfull but it has become at least a bit better.

I'm an atheist who's biased towards Catholicism, I grew up catholic, Star Trek can't do no wrong but Star wars can go have a seat in the corner until the franchise can get better because they've been great substitute for my sleeping aid. I'm biased towards Psych2go.

I love this. How I wish more ppl understood most of the negative judgement/biases they have against other are only real in their head. There'd be fewer unnecessary conflicts. Too many seemingly too-hard-to-solve complicated conflicts nowadays: (

Sure, we should all be granted equal rights, but we're not equal, that should be pretty evident to everyone. Examples of this include the IQ bell curve, and also physical and psychological differences between men and women.

Since many schools have started for people, can you talk about how a teacher's actions can affect a student's mental health? (Or how students can deal with not great teachers)

What makes one truly human is the ability to rise about animal instincts and use rational thought and evidence to base our actions.

Ironic they talk about biases while being biased them and framing it as objective or at least it looks that way.
