I have social anxiety.
Well I dont k ow for sure. I told my mom that I have the symptoms of social anxiety and explained to her what it was you wont believe what she did.
She just hummed
I want to tell my dad but we're not the type to have a very serious talk but I might tell him.
I'mma tell you all my POV of an everyday life.
1. when I do have school or when I have to go on stage. My heart skips a beat, my voice gets Shakey, my hands shake and it just feels like it's getting hot in the room. And when I do open my mouth to talk the words just don't come out like I thought. The reason I think I'm like this is because we moved to Canada 2 years ago and we came to the place where they speak mostly french (Montreal) and people say I have an English accent when I talk and in my head I'm like no shit Sherlock and so ever since I get really worked up over nothing.
2. Because of my insecurities I start to have self hatred I always compare myself to people. I start to hate my body, my face and the facet that u can't do ANYTHING RIGHT!
3. I think I have like a Phobia of animals and insects ( reptiles too )
Story time:
So this one time I was playing mine craft for the first time with my siblings and I didn't know about the zombies and animals in there. ( I was really young ) and when I saw the spider ( it was freaking huge ) my tablet flipped and my fingers were shaking and my breathing got heavy. My brother's always make fun of me because of my fear of animals but simply think it's not funny. And if I have like the smallest bug in my room I would stay up all night and fall asleep unintentionally. and I dont know if this has to do with my anxiety but idk.
4. So the reason for all of this is because I'm scared of getting judged. Getting judge is my ult fear. People opinions really matter to me and most of the time they're harsh words. (I get compliments rarely) and on top of all this I have no one to talk to. I see the world differently than everyone around and I can't say anything cuz I'm scared they'll judge

Sometimes i have good days and the stress is minimum and able to deal with. But then a situation spring up and i just get so stressed i feel like a weight is on me. This situation is mostly always about confrontation, did i say the right thing, what are they thinking of me, did i ack the way they wanted me to act, what can i do to appeal to that person. Just stuff like that and it gets annoying but once i start thinking it would be ond my mind for like 2 to 3 days and its so drainging and stressful. Then this follows up with depression and is so frustrating. Also i have to mask it all because im suppose to be the happy guy. but sometimes it seeps out. This is one of the main causes of my anxiety but other things trigger it to. And sometime i just wish i was normal. Like damn cant i just be emancipated from all this worry. but I can bare it but life without it would be so much better. Me typing how i feel would be enough to explain in this comment section i would need to have a talk with a group of people who understand because some people just dont get it.

Last month I had just ordered my food at this little diner I lived by and was sitting waiting for it to be done so I could leave and all of a sudden my heart started pounding against my chest and it felt like I couldn't breath my legs got numb and I got cold and sweaty my mind felt blank and for a moment I couldn't move I thought I was having a heart attack and was about to call 911 but I decided to just go to the bathroom to try and cool off(it was crowded and hot in the diner)but that dident work and my mom called me just in time and I calmed down a bit but I wanted my brother to some get me (I walked to the diner) but when I came out my food was done and I grabbed it and left I don't even remember if I said thank you or not I walked home but I still felt a little uneasy I later looked up my symptoms and I had a panic attack for the first time I've had about two anxiety attacks before but they were not to bad but having a panic attack scared me so much I'm to worried every time I go out now

I know it's there by the feeling of intoxication that consumes me, the lack of control of inhibited reason and inability to access memories.
Worst of all, I don't know what beliefs of mine are keeping me from recaliming the control of myself---my mind and body. I know I'll overcome it once I find the right answers or at least I'll have the key, but. I don't know where to find the answers.
Dysthymia, severe social anxiety, and generalized anxiety or hell. But I don't regret having them. Their existence made me susceptible to so many mental illnesses. Psychosis and schizophrenia, for example, which were easy to stop because they were partially self induced.
I'm grateful to these chains of mine. Perhaps if I allowed myself to recognize them sooner, they wouldn't have gotten beyond my control. Not that it's my fault, of course. I just wish I knew before it was too late. Now, I'm here: almost homeless and relying on a last ditch effort at a job before I walk away and wait to die.

I related to when she was talking about having anxiety during high school. My childhood/high school experience was filled with anxious feelings and self-doubt. I will always remember this one day where I came into school with a panic attack and I had to go to my first class. I was trying to hold myself together as to not let others around me know what I was going through. I sat down in my regular spot and cried to myself. I guess the girl next to me noticed and I was apologizing. But then she reached out and asked how I was and gave me a piece of gum. She said chewing gum helps to stop crying and I dont know. I thought that was the kindest thing anyone has done for me. I know its small but having someone share a little act of kindness no matter what it is, is so important. :-)

Im surprised how well I related to this video. I have a lot of anxiety and often wonder if Im good enough. I was heavily bullied until graduation teaching me to hate myself. Recently Ive had a lot of women use me and not in a good way. I struggle with my anxiety with my new ex who before I was going to ask to marry me since she talked about it frequently. Of course she dumped me and said that she used me but I was in love. Now I cant stand the sight of her because Im scared and my anxiety is worse than ever. Im afraid I wasnt good enough and that she will tear me down again as she wasnt nice to me at all. I wonder if a woman will ever love me more than my wallet or my body.

I personally believe that those with anxiety are some of the strongest people. Imagine worrying incessantly about something almost daily, fearing your future often, constantly questioning your abilities and feeling stressed or panicked most of the time. It is extremely hard to live with and it lessens the quality of life for most folks. It's emotionally draining and physically exhausting. For anyone who has anxiety please remember that you are capable and you are strong. You are managing to live with your anxiety every day and accomplish tasks that can feel like a major hurdle.

im 90% positive i have some form of anxiety. i have most of the symptoms, and it affects my every day life. my mom has acknowledged that it runs in my family and i could have it, but i would really like to be diagnosed because even though she knows, she has no clue how bad and i dont feel that she believes me. how would you suggest bringing this topic up without her instantly turning it down?

This video somehow made me want to fight. I'm not the confrontational type. I prefer to run away. The thought of my anxiety following me and trying to battle me anyways gets my blood boiling, though. I have people who I want to be there for and things that I want to achieve. Anxiety will just have to take the backseat. I sure as heck won't have it controlling my otherwise decent life.

Yes I relate. I had such a panic attack last week that I forgot the employee I was speaking with was not the employee I needed to be speaking with. That is when I said more working overtime I'm taking a month off off working overtime. I overworked myself I have to stop so that I don't intentionally cause my own panic attacks and make huge mistakes.

Omg. this is so me Im crying right now because no one really understand what you're dealing with. Its a constant trauma and fright, I just wish so hard I never had it or deal with it. If you never had anxiety please be grateful, its the only thing causing me to not live my life and my on going depression. I need to go see a doctor/therapist.

My anxiety was triggered by my Mom's death. Mornings are the worst, I wake up too early even though I've bearely slept. My heart is racing, I feel paralyzed, my stomach is like a hard ball, I feel nauseous and can't eat. It's horrible and I don't know how long I can take this. Therapy doesn't help. I've had this for three weeks now.

From childhood I got PTSD, caused by parents and school; I got social Anxiety; got problems with my ears (need a hearing device since I'm 10); got a speech failure since I'm born; I'm a transwoman; I also got autistic behavior. did I missed something? However, I'm 23 right now and things are getting overboard pretty big time.

Can you make a video about how to deal with embarrassment? I saw someone on another video suggesting this as well, and i think it would be interesting, because i never let any embarrassing time i have had in the past go, and it is always in the back of my head bringing my self esteem down, constantly

I told my mom I had anxiety the other day, and thats why I isolate myself and she just said no, you dont and then proceeded to complain about how I have everything so great and that she has the worst life ever (obvs isnt true) and Im just there confused but I cant say anything or shell yell at me

a very good friend has Anxiety. It got better after she meet me. Its not gone, but she said he effects are less bad.
Guess something/someone who support you and rebuild your selfconfidence and selfworth seem to help.
Well. that counts for her - just happy that i can help her: 3

Anxiety is not something that you can get rid of easily it will be your shadow but that doesn't mean that it has to dictate your life. We can learn to be stronger, to grow and accept it as a part of us because in the end its just a voice in our head that we learn to ignore

I was told I have social anxiety at 24 years old, and looking back at it now, everything began to make sense. the diagnosis opened my eyes to see why I feel the way I do, why I do certain things, and etc. Being able to accept I have a problem and how to manage has helped me
