Literally my childhood. Now that im an adult they try to do it to my husband aswell. Right before watching this video I just got off the phone with my mom and dad. Telling me my cats gave their dog fleas because my husband forgot to cut our grass at our house. They where up here for Easter about 2ish weeks ago and they pet my indoor cats. My husband meant to cut the grass but ended up working a double shift witch had him at work from 2pm the 8th to 6am on the 9th (easter) so he decided to sleep before everyone got here. My overbearing parents saw my grass was a bit longer then we usually keep it but didnt say anything. Which is unusual because they're always giving us crap about everything. If we have dirty laundry in our laundry room it's an issue, dishes in the dish drainer, issue ect. I don't know where they put their clean dishes to dry if they take issue with mine. They actually went as far as telling me when I was pregnant they were going to call Child Protective Services because I forgot to switch my clothes from the washer to the dryer and they smelled mildewy. Who smells other people's washer? first off, and why where you in our laundry room? Anyways back to the grass, now 2 weeks later their dog has fleas and its our fault because our indoor cats must have gotten out rolled around the grass and came back in. They pet the cats the fleas jumped on them and they brought the fleas home to their dog. Needless to say I literally was raised by crazy people. How am I alive and well?

Everyone says that their parents support them the love them but in my case my parent just don't understand me they don't show their love for me they have certain expectations for me and when ever we get into a fight they act like i must apologize just because they are older than me. they just stress me out and make me feel worthless instead of talking things out they give me silent treatment so that i will regret and they are always opposing me like whenever i do something wrong they just start to yell at me and the part that hurts the most is that i have a sibling and they are not like this with her they don't yell at her she has independence to do whatever she want and they show their love towards her by simply telling her that she is the favorite child in front of me. i don't move out of my room and i have created my own safe space in my room where i can be me but then the yell at me for being in the room all the time they blame me that i don't love them or i don't want to be a part of family. my life is miserable right now

What if your kids want to do bad things and you are rigid according to them?
What if you sacrificed everything for them and they don't understand what it took for you to get them where they are and they waste opportunity?
What if your kids are immature?
What about parents being raised a certain way and they turned out okay but when parents try same things on their kids their kids take them negatively?
What if your kids friends have power over them but refuse to listen to you as a parent?
What if your kids are immature and you can't discuss anything with them without them throwing tentrums?
What if you are the one who is always saying sorry but your kids never think they've done anything wrong even though their lives need improvement.
Though I understand all the traits you've mentioned, I think you failed to go into detail on every point and make exceptions.

The biggest problem between me and my father is that we are polar opposites. I always had a carefree and artistic side while he uses pure logic and calculation.
I always got hints of his personality that slightly annoyed me but over time I realized just how truly immature he is.
He has always been working very hard for me and our family, which is an excellent trait, but it never occured to me how distant emotionally we were.
His biggest trait is maybe his biggest flaw, not really having time to really develop and grow as a person (no friends, no hobbies, barely can cook for himself) or truly connect with me, which became more drastic after the passing of my mother, since he always needed someone to give him 'purpose'
He remarried a while ago (which tore us even more apart, but it seems like he's finding some new meaning to live and I hope to reach out to him more soon.

This describes my mom. LOL so if these describe a Aspergers two adults. Although Im wanting to deal with it. Not all of them mind. I have trouble with some of these lol. But every day it gets better. Im currently having my son tested as well because of some of the behaviors he exhibits, and she cant stand it. She thinks shes being protective of him, but really, shes not. And this is a thing I have faced on every front. My particular diagnosis was discovered when I was an adult and having a lot of trouble with the transition between high school to college. And after that, I was basically told I should do things her way and hers alone

I don't know if I am too mature or I'm too immature I don't know man it's too hard for me. I even attempted something. you know when I Was ONLY 10 yr old ngl it's really hard for me to live on, my parents on the other hand are really immature. my mother is a self proclaimed guru like she knows everything! She demotivates me, she says that I should be in pressure and depression! And my father. I have been abused by him too many times. One time he beat me with glass bottle. it's a trauma that never ever can be cured, even now I am shreading tears

My stepdad is emotionally immature. My mom lets him get away with it. As a result, I am paying for it. Its hard to learn how to be the adult I want to be when I can't be an adult in my home. And, I can't get away from them because I can't get any form of steady income to save my life. I am dependent on them and am doing what I can to get out of it. But, it is like pulling the teeth of an angry bull in a china shop on muscle builders and hyped up on caffeine. And, all you have is a waving peice of cloth and no tranquilizer.

I really need someone to talk to about my life, but I have no one. What's really frustrating me is that my parents will simultaneously be the nicest people in the world, but, at the same time, they can be really mentally damaging. Especially my mother. And it takes a toll on my mental health. Who can I go to about this? I'm currently in college and I have practically no money, so I feel like therapy isn't an option.

She's all of these signs. I couldn't do anything about it anyways. I've been always so hard about myself. Envious of others having some parents supporting them emotionally and mentally. My mom, instead of comforting me, she uses reverse psychology shits, more like a threat. I know she wanted me to have a good future, but her ways are def not healthy for my mind.

Learned about this just a few months ago. Recently turned 23 and I still live with my parents so learning about this really put me at ease. After all these years, it wasn't just me, but now it's hard to not feel like your younger self. I hope everyone learning about this is getting closure they need and realize that they are allowed to be who they want to be.

If you Showed this video to your parents and they in response to even the name of the video refused to listen, started a fight, lied about pointless things to prove you wrong, and then ended the conversation with some insults and blame shifting, all while further confirming the need for self awareness in this world. If So give me A thUmbs Up!

Parents are human, but they're your parents. As long as they're not abusive, count your blessings. Have a roof over your head? How often do you miss a meal?
Boundaries are important, don't forget that.
They're not your buddy, their the parental figure in your life. If they make you mad sometimes, they're doing they're job.

Only thing they get out of me is being insensitive cause that aint even all they fault. But everytime I walk in that crib I feel like as if Im the parent, I look around and see the whole place a mess, nothing clean. But the dishes sometimes. I just need to move out they are confusing me on how they act and its irritating.

My dad completely does not have any idea at all of the way he is. He's always trying to center everything around him and my siblings have tried to talk with him about it but he just refuses to accept that his own flaws exist. It's just absolutely baffling to me how that's possible for someone his age (63)

This is exactly my mom! And if my mom doesnt want to change, she can go right ahead, the worst part is that she is affecting everyone else in our family, she is going so far as to manipulate and gaslight my dad, and me, and if we say she is wrong, she will yell and abuse us verbally or physically.

Some parents do not let the trust build and there's nothing worse than relations you can't trust better keep such people out if you can if its not a biological reaction. Betraying or tricking a child is considered nothing in this shallow world. Mostly in family of realistics.

This sums up both of my parents in under 5 minutes. I guess punching your kid with a broom, taking out all your anger on them will create stress and prolonged trauma that will live on with the kid for as long as he can remember, Thanks Mom and Dad

This video was useful and enlightening. and then it became terrifying when I realized I'm now exactly like my emotionally immature father. I'm scared shitless of doing the same to my own kids. I feel pretty helpless, ngl

This is common in most parents: They think theyre always right. The answer to why is rather simple. Because they are in charge of you, they think they can order you about. Its even worse if parents have a favorite child
