So im not in a relationship atm. Im just getting started on one kinda. I recently restarted my life at 25. In the sense that ive started disciplining myself and taking control of my mind and body. Exercise. Eating healthy. Self reflection. Cutting out or limiting unhealthy things like excess amounts of tech time, unhealthy foods, i stopped vaping with the juul, ive been slowly but surely quitting many bad habits. And my entire outlook has really changed. So idk if its healthy. But it makes the most sense to me. So this is how im planning to handle the relationship im starting to build. People have differences, people have imperfections and issues, damage, trauma, theres a lot that goes on within an individual. And for me, my goal so far has been countering those things. I noticed she has issues communicating. She yelled at me when id asked her to text me if she wasnt going to make our dates so i wasnt waiting. I calmly replied. Thank you for communicating that to me. I really appreciate it. It just gives me a better idea of how to handle myself moving forward. Ill call instead of text next time. But id appreciate it if you didn't talk to me that way next time. She seemed quite stunned. But i realized sometimes we punish behaviors we want to see more often, because when we do finally get them, especially if its sometjing locked away by trauma, it can be hurtful for them and theyll lash out in the moment. And immediately brace for the trauma theyve always gotten from it. Calmly letting her know that she said exactly what i need to hear, and if she could just say it more nicely next time, encourages her to be more open. And later that day i called her again to ask her on a date tomorrow to which she said yes. I think because ive started understanding my own traumas and how theyve effected my life, and ive been slowly working through the obvious ones on my own, plus the fact that i know a lot about her. Just helped me to realize that she may just need help in some areas. And that if i really like her, itd make more sense for me to lend a helping hand in small ways. Like adapting and remaining calm and collected. I have adhd so this became kind of a ramble. But i havent had a relationship in like 5 years so im excited lol

Listen. I understand this has probabaly been replied to thousands of times before, but I am having an internal struggle about this. I have been in a loving relationship for the past 5 years. The relationship has been fantastic but we never have gone past the stage of being able to live together. We met in college and she has been with me through all the valleys in my life leading up to the moment of getting into medical school. We have been enjoying our relationship but after this past year I have noticed a strange gut feeling about how sure I am about the longevity about the relationship. First off, we havent lived together yet, and we have talked about this which led to agreeing on the fact she wants to livbe alone until we are in our 3rd year of school (one year from now. Primarily, I am nervous about our future together along the lines of different living styles. I also am nervous as she has gained some weight (still beautiful) but I really dont want to be in a situation where I lose attraction after 10 years if she continues on the course of gaining more weight. I have expressed this to her, and I beleive that there is a component of attraction that should be there regardless of weight, but I am worried of leaning into this beleif and having to deal with a divorce later because my loss of attraction leaves her feeling unnoticed which could spark tension. I have also noticed that I have been developing crushes with classmates and I tend to reflect on why this crush even exists. I am good friends with my crush and I worry this is a sign of something else developing. I tend to overthing which I apologize for. I would just appreciate some advice surroundning this I want this to work and to continue with my current girlfriend, but I have doubts and these crushes make these doubts more apparent.
Thanks yall

1) i think i can do more physical stuff with her to assure her
2) i dont know how to speak about stuff 2 years ago on the daily
3) i feel like we cane be sill together but when she talks about scientology im lost
4) i try to make up but she refuses to make up. i dont want her to think that because im emotionaly strong, not holding a grudge, and proactive about making up that she should just abuse that quality in me
5) i should tell her more but im always praising her whenever she does small household tasks. like cooking thank you like cleaning thank you
6) i guess the truth is hwen im down and out shes never here
7) i guess for 1. 5 years i do almost everything. now we are closer. she doesnt really want to do anything because she never had to. and she always brings it up that her doing alittle bit is alredy a lot. i dont get what sort of argument that is. because i never did anything at home too but when i moved out i did everything myself.
8) i keep watching these and try to make up with her and try to stay positive but i feel that the end result is she just presumes thats my role and i should be like that and so she has free reign to bash me all the time. i think about seeing a therapist but its such a waste of money because we ahve seen one and hes no good. im talked to friends here and there and everyone doesn tagree with the rs even tho i keep talking it up and saying we will be good but she doesnt even want to work with me.
i just suck. ive done it all wrong. i dont even know what i can do or change anymore. the time where i basically put on a smile and pretend everything is ok and allow her to walk all over me was the period where she didn tbreak up with me for an entire monht

I thought abt n. 6 yesterday alot, I wondered how I could live with my boyfriend and be his wife if I have to ask politely for him to do the obvious, if I'm cleaning and it looks like Im not doing mentally well and I'm breaking down and needing some help, I don't want to have to ask politely for it, as it should be obvious to help when you see a person visibly sitting on the floor looking at one spot.
I do my boyfriend's chores at his house and everything, while he eats and sit down. He has gotten mad at me for 'commanding' him to go sweep in his room, and clean behind his bed, and when I came back from cleaning his areas I saw him laying down on his phone doing nothing, and meanwhile I was cleaning his microwave, his living room and kitchen and hallways, and he expects me to cater to his needs of loneliness and sadness over me 'commanding' him, when truly I want that closure and love myself aswell, I'm not his Mother, and I'm not even the legal age to be a housewife i need a boyfriend who'd take care of me, instead of me taking care of his needs, I feel neglected and unwanted, I've been used by him, and gave up my body for him, and I just don't understand him. I'm a good girlfriend, but how could I be a better one, because I just wanted his parents to come back to a clean house as a thank you for them not abusing him like I get at home, why, why am I in the wrong.
I understand maybe it's the way we were raised differently, but that doesn't excuse common sense to help a person in need, it's put into the brain of a male to protect their significant other, so why doesn't he try to protect me, and take care of me. What am I doing wrong.

Im with my girlfriend because she doesnt get much physical affection. I show her as much as she wants which usually were spending most of our time together. I always assure her she can say if she doesnt want anymore at the moment in which I havent heard her say. Weve been together only for a little over a month and now we cant stop thinking about each other. She feels so perfect. I learn people rather quickly. Even though Im autistic and have aspergers, in which Ive learn to hide it so well the only thing you might notice is my stutter and slight struggle pronouncing things you probably might think Im dyslexic but a common thing amongst autistic people is their mouth moves faster than their mind and so pretty much Ill speak a clear sentence and then pause at each word afterwards. But believe it or not English was my strongest subject, math being the weakest by far. Btw its a straight relationship. But autistic people could either be really sweet or entirely apathetic. Now I feel peoples emotions which is how I manage to pick up on social queues. I also know when people are being passive aggressive.

Growing up I didnt have an example on a healthy relationship. My mother recently got married and her relationship with my stepdad is horrible.
Im in a relationship now and I think what helps me is being self aware. Im not horrible to my boyfriend by any means, but being aware of certain behaviors in certain situations helps. Gotta be mindful of what I say and do and understand that all has consequences. Im constantly reflecting and also searching for ways to be better, to be the best to my boyfriend.
If you do have bad habits/behavior, recognize them (preferably before you get into a relationship) and actually put effort into fixing them. It wont happen overnight but I think practice makes perfect.
1. Buy him flowers.
2. Rub his back.
3. Cook for him.
4. Tell him how happy he makes you.
5. Dont boss him around.
6. Even if you dont like the movie, watch the movie.
7. Let him love you/help you. Dont be stubborn.
8. Be the first to admit youre wrong. You never wanna wait too long.

Im in a long distance relationship with a woman that is 13 years older than me. I am 22. She is a widow. She has only ever been with one person in her life, and she has two children with that person. They were together for 15 years. He died a little over a year ago from now. She and I have developed a bond, a very strong bond, and I feel inseparable from her. But this dynamic, these circumstances, they are very confusing and hard to deal with. I love her. And she loves me. But she feels like she is not allowed to love me. She has this phobia of touching people. I feel like the only way we even had a chance of getting close is through meeting online loving someone and longing for someone that you feel like youll never be able to touch is a surreal and confusing feeling.

My tips for a healthy relationship is
-Respect her, dont make the plans without hearing what your partner says, or ignoring your partners idea, respecting each others boundaries and thoughts is good
-dont give her attention 24/7 or be overly protective, this will lead the attention you give will worth less and not special, giving attention when needed and respecting your partners private space and time and work on yourself makes it more special and worth more
-dont be negative person or be low esteemed person beside your partner, having negative energy or thinking or telling that you are not good makes the vibe between you 2 horrible, be happy and make a good vibe, laugh, there is no need of thinking that because your partner loves you the way you are

I am not currently in a relationship, but everytime I was I tried my best to keep the negative controlling emotions under control because all I could think about when my thoughts would spiral into negative emotions I knew it was my insecurities and trust issues invalidating me.
Although yes it felt like I was bottling up in all reality I did not want to harm my partner then
I always think of these habits as the base of a good relationship although I still have a lot of healing to do and toxicity to work through I'll always take care of the people I love.

I would love to do a healthy relationship, unfortunately I am sorry tell you this but I am all lethally burned out from thinking of a healthy relationship, so I can't actually help a girlfriend or do anything to help her out, due to my mandatory erased memories, the appropriate relationship for the life sequence is currently unavailable, it has been replaced with a chill background designed for anyone who needs a break, the last note is I do apologize for the inconveniences of habits about healthy relationships and wish all the best of luck.

I entered my first ever relationship about 3 weeks ago with my boyfriend, and its his first too. I think were in a good place with all the points, though I worry about if Im doing the personal space one well enough I feel like my mothers emotional clinginess passed on to me and I feel like I want to be with him just cuddling 24/7. Atm we only get to see each other a couple of times a week though. Idk, its probably not that big an issue but I have a habit of overthinking everything.

There's another one: You make effort to make the relationship interesting. Boredom in your free time leads to boredom of the relationship. You have to keep your partner and yourself invested in the relationship by making plans, whether it be trips or holidays together, or walking to the supermarket, or watching a film together. Without this, the relationship becomes a boring daily job.

I just wish she would compliment my physical appearance more, I spend so many days a week in the gym trying to be in shape and all I get is the occasional youre cute or I love you for you. I compliment her on a daily basis and let her know shes my 20/10 and it just feels bad man because I think she thinks that just saying I love you is a compliment.

If u start a relationship and there is no communication, u just get used to it and it never gets better. Cause u dont know what is going on in each others minds and it is a relation to end sooner or later
Also if anyone's problems sounds like nagging or being weak to others both will learn to be quiet and no communication will happen

My wife and I watched this together and we tick all the boxes! With regards to household chores, we find a 60/40 split works where both people are trying to be the ones doing 60% of the work. That way if one person is sick, the other is ready to take over the extra work right away.

I agree with all but the last one, it would be fine but I dont like having my own personal space, I prefer being next to him all the time or at least in the same room, I dont see the need to be alone nor do I want to, dont know his take on it but hes never asked to be alone.

My boyfriend and I now know eachother for 3 months, it feels like we've known eachother for years. it makes me happy to see that in such a short time, our relationship has all these qualities described in the video. Time is relative when you meet the right one.

It is hard to be completely honest with someone.
But you should atleast try.
If you want a healthy relationship follow this -
Realize - Accept - Rectify
Once you do this you'll have a better relationship with anyone.

Even though we have a few moments where we're manipulative to each other, me and my boyfriend do all of these! It makes me happy to know that even though we have issues, we are able to solve it.
