This is my ex. Honestly I feel bad about him but having trauma doesn't make hating on someone who loves you right. When we met he told me I'm the only person (Except his parents) who he trusts without hesitation. Since the start in each fight he'd tell me that he's rethinking whether he should trust me or not and that scared me and made me feel horrible. He had trouble seeing how much I love him and one day after I joked about him (it wasnt something serious) he became very angry and said he'll never trust anyone again. After this I tried to understand but he never told me what I did (he said that this kills him and he wants it to keep killing him so he doesn't stay with me, he accused me of cheating on him with a friend just because I was hurt and said that he understands me better, he accused me of sharing our conversations with other people etc. In one week he suddenly said he feels nothing about me and treated me like trash but I loved him so much so I tried in any way I could to show him that this is not the reality. He said he's scared I'll hurt him and left.
Now of course after all this I deal with a lot of trauma and hated myself for months after but still I'd rather die than treat him like he did to me. I'll never let my pain hurt someone who loves me. Now I'll die knowing that he believed all those lies about me and he'll die thinking no one loved him. I wish that one day he goes to a phycologist and finally understands that I really loved him and he can finally be happy.

It definately describs me. There areunresaved issues from my child hood. I hardly ever luse my temper. but when avere I think of the place where I lived as a child like all of those bullies, abusive father. the stepsister who gets the joys by making me mirable and upset and the case where I was in jail for a crime I didn't comit but had to plea guilty to. I have goten blames for so many things and I have been truthfull about them only to be beeten by my father and being called a lyar. It just doesn't stop until I admit to those things then no one would trust me after that. Just thinking of all of those is upsetting as spesially when I was told the case againt me was easy opn and shut. I had to plea guilty or else face a jurry who would have most sertainly sent me to prison. as I said before, I don't get angry easy but I wanted to kill that public defender. The justice system only works when you tell them what they want to hear and never listen to the real truth. I have memory like an elephent. It's what makes puting all of that behind me and moving on neerly imposible. At times I would see a Utah or California licence plate and I'm in fight or flight mode. My trama is connected with those two states.

My dad left my family when I was young for another women and child while my mom left for a man. My dad seemed to have forgot about us giving all rights to my mom and forgot about us until recently I still have to deal with the rage and frustration of him leaving me and I feel it takes a toll on me of trying to start meaningful and intimate relationships due to my fear of being abandoned. I feel that it makes me almost codependent and I don't want to be that way. Ever since he's left I've had trouble making friends but I met someone really special and I don't want to mess things up. I have no clue what to do and need help

It's a long'n but I feel like I don't deserve to be traumatised
it's not by the book and what so many people say is trauma
My friends in school pulled me around like a ragdoll and let me go, sometimes they bullied me for their amusement for years.
I have BPD and C-PTSD like symptoms, but I can't be formally diagnosed because bringing up BPD is so taboo. Because of the suicide and self harm symptoms
And C-PTSD and PTSD itself is associated with straightforward abuse, accidents, war, neglectful parents. I don't deserve to be put under a catagory with people who've had it way worse

I feel like once I leave my toxic family Id actually feel some sort of relief. I never even had the chance to live normally, and stayed locked up at home or with my family. Never even had the chance to make real friends because I let my anxiety get the best of me, my family would always turn me down from hanging with them, or was bullied throughout school.
My family was never there for me and would only value me for my good grades along with other accomplishments. they never saw me as my own person and would only wind up hurting me again if I wanted to speak.

Oh, I have all of these except one. I can control my emotions. My past is sooooooooo bad. Then I had a lil secret from my childhood that I can't tell anybody. I was Bullied and those bullies became my friends. Betrayed me so many times. You know, It really hurts when I think about these memories. When I go to sleep, There is one thing that always comes to my mind. These. That's why I imagine a lil to avoid it. It doesn't matter cause I know these imaginary things are never gonna happen. Emotions maybe aren't in me anymore. I don't cry, I don't smile either.

I was bullied by someone I loved and I went on to look for the floors in people and then when I saw one floor I immediately pushed them away or even worse pushed people away without even knowing why. I have always felt very guilty about the way I just hated them for no reason and I have gone on to feel a sense of loneliness as I pushed all these people away who couldve been really good friends. The idea of a full blown relationship terrifies me.
I have always had issues with controlling tears as well. Rarely get angry just upset.

My childhood trauma: My mother was/is an alcoholic and when I was around 9 years and came home from school I basically caught her in the middle of trying to kill herself.
I also always randomly found beer bottles, wine bottles and other stuff somewhere hidden in the house. My mother had/has lots of mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, anorexia, etc.
Thankfully she moved out when I was around 10 or 11 years.
It affected my whole life greatly (I'm 17 now) and I'm really trying to finally move on. Life can be so unfair

Another amazing video. Trauma is tricky.
I recently learned I was born with Congenital toxoplasmosis and it's been a huge root in a lot of ailments. I just learned last year about this I was born with, and I thought having a traumatic life messed me up pretty bad, but turns out due to this parasite I could've ended up just as messed up or even worse even with a good peaceful life.
Been kinda an existential pondering since I started doing research.
Psych2Go always getting those deep thoughts rolling.

Does witnessing your father abusing your mother as a child count as tramua? I've never thought about it figured I'd ask. My parents are divorced now and all, but I have a few of theese symtoms. My mom and dad where great to me, so I dont know if witnessing/hearing it all may count? Maybe it doesn't, sorry if Im coming off as attention seeking. Well- Im going to shush now haha.

This specific video with the art depiction tells me these people really do know what they are talking about. I related to every single damn point. And it hurts like hell.
Zuzia, you are a godsend of an animator. You are making me feel ways I didnt think I could feel. Its just validating and understanding what emotions Im expressing. Giving me Ghibli vibes.

I want to share my story with someone who can understand me since I never talk about whats going on with me to anyone because I don't want to burden them with my problems, I want to go to some psychologist but I don't have my own money since I am still a student and I think I can only do that when I have a job and live by myself.
I don't know what to do.

1: 10 this says 6 (sorry if it sounds rude just want to point that out not like anyone cares anyway, the art is nice though the cool / chill / cold colour is calming plus the sky is covered in clouds that will clear out someday and the decoration in the middle fits perfectly, an aesthetic perfect for sleeping or thinking)

My first tramatic event: My beloved Dad passed away in 1971. My second tramatic event: I was bullied by a neighborhood girl for 10 years, I got married and moved off of my street. My third tramatic events: Most of my adult life, I have been abused in some way by people who I thought loved me. I'm now under a Dr's care.

I know I have unresolved trauma from my childhood. I've been to therapy once, I don't now, and know I need to go again. I find myself telling myself Every time you stop, break, of can't function. They win again. Press on, be normal.
Is that a healthy mentality? Really looking for advice, if any.

I just wanted to thank the staff at Psy2Go for giving us a chance to recognize why we are who we are inside and outside. I understand a lot more than I did yesterday about myself by watching these videos and educating myself. Again thank you for all your hard work! And happy new year!

I have unresolved trauma and suffer from these symptoms, some of them less strong because of good experiences I've had and training myself to have a different perspective. But the traumas were seual abuse, I was diagnosed with CPTSD by a psychiatrist and I am seeing a psychologist.

If I wanna avoid being hurt again, think everyone has a bow and a quiver full of arrows in their hand. Even if it is someone I know. Those arrows will be used to stab me in the back just like the ones before. I know some people might not use it but better than being hurt again

Every single one, every single day. I've been going to therapy for awhile and have discovered a lot of my problems come from childhood trauma. I'm trying different forms of trauma therapy and such. It's still very hard and I still struggle with all these things a lot.

I am burdened with guilt from certain things that occurred during my childhood. I also have trouble letting things go and even my therapist couldn't help with the latter. Having an excellent long term memory is both a blessing and a curse.

It's funny how psych2go says the videos shouldn't be substituted with professional diagnosis. When you know you wont even have a diagnosis cuz u rather watch these
We absolutely wont 'substitute' psychie >_
