It's funny to me how I always text with ''perfect grammar'' (though I don't use periods at the end of my only sentences, if it's the last sentence that it) but it's not like I don't text a lot. In fact I text so much I am scared of getting carpeltunnel from it xD. I am an introvert and kinda scared of conversation: P
I also use textisms a lot, not sure how that cooperates with the previous one, but I still do it. I'm not really energetic and lack any sort of friends.
Again, I also use long texts. Obiously this goes hand in hand with the perfect grammar. I do this when I want to convey something more important.
Either way, I always want to be understandable and convey the right emotion through my texts.
I try to adjust to others' writing styles, but generally mine is pretty chaotic sometimes. I've had people call it ''cutesy'' whatever that means. Anyway my texting style is a mix of a lot of things. But I kinda like it, anyway have a great day -

I get anxious with the quick texts type because it's often been used in the past to bombard me before I get a chance to read or respond in an abusive context, so it always feels like I'm getting yelled at with quick texts. I'm a paragraph typer overall and tend to write in complete sentences (with some acronyms) and definitely correct grammar. My step mom also used to get legit angry at me for using exclamation marks to indicate excitement because she said it made me seem ditsy, but she would end everything with ellipses, which came across as passive aggressive, so texting is confusing for me sometimes.

I do will say what I do and what you said this true to me
1. Im not open to my emotions I do emojis because they can understand my tone of voice
2. I only write to how people can understand or just to perfect spelling not like periods and stuff
3. I text quick mostly because I can tell them right away because I dont want to make them wait
4. I do that to tell them more longer stuff like a story I dont really do it normally mostly storys
5. I do that when I dont know what else to say I try my best not to do that normally

Im known to use periods in my text. People tend to grow with it, or they might see me as intimidating. I could even go deeper, saying that I use emojis ironically with friends and purposely with people I dont know. I use many exclamation marks to entice sarcasm or playful excitement. All I hear is excuses! And I also have a very unique way of texting, using fonts while I write to my tone and provide general pop. I think its interesting how far some of us can go to interpret personality in our text!

I'm a blend of all of these.
By default I use plenty emojis and textisms in longer paragraphs, but I often have thoughts after sending the one big message and I attach them in the form of quick short texts afterwards (or I edit messages if the platform allows me to, unless the typos are funny. In serious conversations I turn to perfect grammar with no emojis. And when I'm out of words, I tend to react with just one emoji nowadays which I guess is the cousin of one-word responses.

I text wildly different depending on who it is I am texting.
When it's family, I use the typical mom-emojis with the blushing smiles and stuff.
When texting my closest friends, I use abbreviations, textisms, and often simple sentences with a period as that's kinda our joke thing.
When texting my school friends I use the skull emoji and you can imagine the rest
Texting style always varies with context!

When I'm texting with family and acquaintances, I use proper grammar and capitalization. Around close friends, I use proper capitalization and stuff but use lots more slang terms and less proper grammar. when I text with my crush. i literally give up on all punctuation grammar and capitalization because that's exactly how she texts

It's definitely true that how you text your partner is more important than how often. With my ex the more he texted me the worse it usually was. But when he texted little they were usually more thoughtful, caring, he said things that made me more happy with the situation than when he texted me every couple hours

I tend to use textisms a lot, or abbreviations. When texting certain people, I use faces a lot, like: D, D:, :, and: . Its mainly because I dont wanna come off as emotionless or anything, and I use this with family members: (also that face lol) (SEE? TEXTISMS)
reply

I use tons of emojis, I use short words (but send a lot of texts just scattered instead of a paragraph) but sometimes I will use paragraphs and grammar just depends on the situation but surprisingly I dunno any tone tags besides /srs /pos /lh and /j

I dont think Ill ever understand why people assume periods at the end of a sentence is a bad thing. It physically hurts whenever I have to explain that Im not in a bad mood because of a 4 pixel dot at the end of my sentence.
reply

I hate those times when people think adding periods ( or. ) means they are angry or something like that. Basically the COMPLETE opposite of happy. Even though its literally a PART, actually a HUGE part of sentences.
reply

I'm an introvert but I hate texting so much I avoid texting as much as possible. In fact, face to face is much preferable to me than texting. It's just annoying as fk. I just wanna have peace in my free time.
reply

My texts only tell one thing. When and where I will come visit or when I am sick. I don't use them for anything else.
Also confirmation codes for things like payments or shipments.

reply

Im a mix between all of them. Occasionally I will use each one with my friends like switching back and forth from lengthy ones to emojis, to just flat out one word responses
reply

I always use proper grammar. I cant not correct people if they spell a word wrong, and one time I even inspired another friend of mine to use proper grammar too!
reply

Most of the time when I'm texting I type with a lot of context, I have ASD which could be a factor why I have trouble understanding the full context in a short message
reply

If texts that end with periods are considered untrustworthy (and why is that? Texts are still sentences, after all, then how about exclamation points?
reply

My text style is I write too long messages. Sometimes My phone won't Be able to send them! Then I Look at The case closely and I notice My phone was right
reply

The texting style that I am the most alike is the paragraph, or long text message one. This is ironic because this isn't a very long comment.
reply

Grammar - you prefer to have conversations face-to-face
Me as a introvert: That's a lie.
But I do agree with the way I text long messages.

reply

Im a 2 and 4 and sometimes a 5. Dangerously accurate to what I know of myself. You can probably tell by the writing style of this comment though.
reply

This is how I text:
I dont
Understand
What your
Talking about
Here
(I make a sentence but with multiple texts)

reply

I like being grammatical, and I like to Say the formal versions of words. So seeing the Yeah in short word responses, killed me.
reply

Im the one that goes oh that sounds depressing better add a lol after that to make it more jokingly and ends up using lol to much
