6 Surprising Signs of Youre Highly Intelligent
video description
From my experience and observations, the loner part stems from childhood. Its natural tendency for children to be outgoing, so they try to make friends with as many people. But for an intelligent child, its not as easy. Children of the same age or grade level wont understand what theyre saying because of their advance thinking. On the other hand, older children who have the same thinking would rather not have them as a friend because theyre too young. If their family however entertains their interests, it may not still be enough practice to interact with outsiders.
Luckily for me, I met a friend, 3 years ago, who is around my age and performs the same thinking as me. I am better than her at logical reasoning but she is better than me at creative pursuits. We like both topics as much as each does. My thirsts for knowledge grew as our friendship got stronger. We answer each others questions or solve for it together. Its as if planets of two victims of -smart shaming- alienation started forming their own orbit around the sun. (Obviously, analogies is among the reasons why Im left out, and now I think its better to say that my friend and I are covalent bonds) She unconsciously taught me that I do belong somewhere and people like her are what intelligent people need. I mean, from an outcast I became an outcast adopter/fisher/mother.
Intelligent people dont particularly need to be around a community who already knows everything, they just need someone who likes to form questions and evaluate answers, lives passionately, and themselves, seeks to be intelligent.

Once you get above a certain intelligence threshold, it stops being purely beneficial. The further you are from average, the harder it is to form connection with other people. People who can relate to you become rarer and rarer. Society begins to actively act against you. Not with any malicious intent, but because it isn't built for you. Society is built by and for the greatest common denominator. The further you are from average, the less you fit. There's a reason many very intelligent people have severe depression, anxiety, and trauma. There's a reason they struggle with finding a job or keeping one. Some never finish school because school is built for the average and supports conformity more than excellence. Being a genius can be a blessing, but, unless the person in question has the luck or resilience to build or find a niche for themselves, it can be a crippling curse.

may i ask a maybe rude question? so if all of what you're saying is true that means i'd be smart? correct? but who is saying it is true? this might be some information you found with proof but how dous one know if an other person is smarter or dumber then them? you see to me being smart is not just knowing something or having a way of thinking being smart well it sounds a little wage, how dous doing something diferently make someone smarter then the next persone? again this is not to be rude or blunt but a can not quit understand this consept: /

Seriously, an app, even a simple list to organize oneself for the purpose of greater achievement! That sure takes the fun out of just going for all of it and auctioneering all the variables for the most useful outcome, even as it changes in real time, while being mindful of your time limitations and the degree of altruism (good for me vs good for other) that feels best. Then, if you get bored, you can apply emotional memory to both facts and processes. That'll be 25 cents please. Just pay Lucy.

I think Im decently smart. I just dont do well on written tests. Not the way my brain works. I used to work at a grocery store. Often, Id pull 8 hour shifts alone. Or in the evening, Id lay out my plan to the PIC (person in charge. Many, many times Ive had to change my priorities for what was done and would end up doing the work of 2-3 people, especially if a checker called out

I am defintely a neurotic loner. My autism makes me overthink a lot of things, and I find social anxiety stressful. It doesn't help that I got punished a lot for doing the wrong thing socially, or assigned more duties. I just wanted to stay under the radar, much to the annoyance of my siblings, who didn't catch on right away, but did later on.

Finally one of these videos where I can say yes to all, and its a good thing: D
For the last one though, I really hate it but I can adapt. But its like, it often feels like a defeat when I have to make changes from what is comfortable in order to succeed at what I want. And that often leads me to procrastinate on adapting

1. Funny: Possibly. Sure I can put on a show when a meeting is boring or hasn't quite started yet.
2. Curious: Used to be, as a kid. Maybe now, too.
3. Loner: Definitely.
4. Empathetic: That might be a complete miss. I don't know how I could judge it.
5. Neurotic: Absolutely.
6. Adaptable: Possibly.

Bring top of my class I would like to say I do not like new experiences as I have it off fine as I have it.
Also for the last one you could have just put survival of the fittest as smarts can be superior than strength and can be better like avoiding a fight is better than getting injured but winning a fight

I have all these characteristics. But I am the worst speller in the world and could never learn the times tables. Didn't learn to read till I was 15. In other words I'm not that intelligent! As my old teacher used to say, You are as thick as two short planks!

Lol! I am a retired missionary that writes humor. I am an introvert. There was a time when a little girl at a donut shop was bored. It broke my heart! I asked her father if I could play with her. Almost all of these are me

There was a period in my life when I cared a lot about being smart.
But not anymore.
I don't care how smart I am, I just care about my daydreams and the fictional characters that I like.

I would think that being able to write a coherant title would be one of those signs.
Being funny? Sure, I hear Einstien killed it on the stand up circuit.

The very 1st trait is very subjective. The person who read the comics determines which is funny, but if you get a new judge they may choose a new funny onw

I'm so adaptable that when I put something down on the floor to put it away later it instantly becomes part of my environment and doesn't bother me anymore.
