Are you hoping to increase your intelligence? Maybe you need a few tips, or perhaps youre curious as to what common traits intelligent people seem to have. Well, you clicked the right video, my friend. Did you know that intelligent people have these weird habits, according to research

I know that I'm very dumb but I've got a few objections. But feel free to roast me.
1: I don't want to object the study taken but how it's presented here. Is there really anybody who can say that they're not curious about things? I think the Barnum Effect plays a role here since statements here are so broad that everybody can identify themselves in one way. I assume this makes the audience feel better, thus they keep watching.
3: What is even meant by Intelligence? Here, intelligence seems to equals logical-mathematical intelligence since symbols of math are shown. But intelligence can't be put together in one thing but many different types. And I'd argue that there is little correlation between logical-mathematical intelligence and emotional intelligence. I think it's also possible that people with higher logical-mathematical intelligence tend to have lower emotional intelligence since they would be less understanding of those that can't understand their logical reasoning.
5: Doesn't this contradict with other traits mentioned? Why would someone have a clear self identity if they know that they don't know everything? If they take new perspectives and facts into account, their self identity would also be something they'd change.
Also, I like the voice more that feels calming and soothing. In my opinion, her voice should be used instead of the voice of this video
Also again, feel free to roast me. I'm a dumbass that knows barely anything about this and I just like to express my opinion

I am not going to believe that I am intelligent, unless someone or something proves that I am intelligent. I currently believe that my intelligence is on the average level, however I am significantly better at logical reasoning than the average person. The majority of people I had witnessed arguing were using logical fallacies in their arguments, and were most likely not aware of them. Unfortunately, some people are too biased to admit that their arguments are fallacious. Most average people to whom we refer as idiots or use other terms denoting intellectual inadequacy are simply ignorant, biased, or vociferous, hence the words they utter makes them appear dumb.

Someone sent me this video for conversation. This honestly seems like a personality video. People, having these traits do not make you book smart. If you have these traits, it's doesn't mean your SATs are through the roof. This is just intelligence by social standards and interactions. Plenty of introverts and reserved people are intelligent in a particular field. The main take away should be to use this as a guide if you want to do better in the workplace.

Am i too young for some of those points? I have adaptablity to other people and i kind of underestimate a little and i like to learn New things too but i dont really know who i truly am yet and thats what im focusing on recently.
I would like some opinions if you guys in the replies
Edit: My second language is english so dint be suprised if i spelt something wrong. Still learning New things about it and its AMAZING community. Thanks: )

reply

This just feels like social intelligence, I know people who have all these social traits and cant understand general relativity for their life
I know, it is hard to define intelligence and the one presented in this video probably gets more to the kind of intelligence that will help you get nice things in life
But still, I wouldnt state that people who struggle socially are not smart

reply

I'm just curious if everyone have those six traits, I'm pretty sure I can adapt to the fact that everyone doesn't have each one of those traits. I empathize to those who feel bad about themselves not having all the traits, as we all know, at the end of the day, we realize we don't know everything. I know myself well enough if I continue to learn, I will be more intelligent.
reply

im curious about this vid so i clicked on it. i adapted to watching normal yt vids to a dood w a leaf head idk i adapt well. i got my period yesterday and im literally ignoring it. im very not empathetic. but whatever. i definetly dont know everything. i am laila hernanez. ya lern someting new everyday! bam. im smort.
this is all a joke btw. deez nuts: )

reply

I identified with all the points on this list, I have to say that intelligence is a gift but it can also be a curse, empathy can also be a gift and a curse as I have learned the hard way. If you put too much into someone else and trying to help them, you may neglect your own emotions and needs.

How do claims 2 and 3 line up with autistic people, who usually struggle with adaptation and empathy, but score higher on iq tests than neurotypicals? Genuinely curious, as I know many autistic people who are highly intelligent but do not have a lot of these traits in the video
reply

There are highly intelligent people who also happen to be sociopaths Wich are the opposite of an empath. (Note being a sociopath dosent automatically mean your going to hurt people. Most of them follow laws like the rest of us)
reply

i have these traits
-im curious about everything
-i can adapt well
-im empatethic (although i dont try to make the person feel better, im not actually sociable)
-i dont know everything
-i continue to learn

reply

I am surprised I relate all this. Im not lying. This is what is always is in my mind when I fail: I have a worth to live and I will use it to make my family proud. I am special and unique. I will show everyone who I am
reply

I am emphatic
This is the only thing I have on this list I just like making my friends and Family happy. If theyre sad, Im sad too. I always give my best to make them Happy. When Theyre happy, Im happy too.

reply

Psych2Go: They also love to learn new skills and they can spend hours reading.
Me: I may not be reading at the moment, but, I spend hours on the computer and even past my bedtime due to my curiosity.

reply

2: 23 made me think of a quote, the more I learn, the more I realize how much i don't know which is a quote from Einstein, whom is recognized as one of the most intelligent people ever. Coincidence?
reply

Never forget that all these traits are not innate and be developed, and if you still believe you are not that smart, being kind in enough to make you a very important piece of the world we live in
reply

weird i feel like these points describe me. 5 could be argued in my case but i don't consider myself intelligent, actually I'd put myself closer towards the other end of this spectrum
reply

I identified with all of these, but I never score very high on IQ tests. I did get good grades all through school, love to counsel my peers & learn new skills.
reply

Me at the end of video:
Yes I relate to all of the points.
Also me:
I knew about all (or most) of them from previous Psych2Go videos: )

reply

So. I guess i'm an intelligent person? wow. Give me a second, let me process that the IQ test they did me a few months ago was reliable- (126, ngl)
reply

i consider myself a person that knows most things, but im scared of other smart people because i worry what i say isnt smart enough for them.
reply

I have pretty much all of these traits, though I think I might be a little lacking in the empathy department. I'm not very good with people.
reply

Beeing curios almost killed me twice
Hey what if I touch the posititive of my high voltage suppy while holding the negative
