I had a friend who had a fake nice personality but was really toxic. We were in a group with my BFFF and my BFF and that girl. lets call her V (dont wanna use her real name ) we can call my Bfff N and my Bff A. V would do many things that hurt me, A and N but we always gave her chances until one day we were done. We told her goodbye and that we were really done with her and the next day she begged us to be friends again but we said NO then me N and A were writing notes and V read them when we werent looking and it said to who they were too. we were soo upset and the next day V changed spots and we all got shifted but not too far N was in the table next to me and our seats were close soo we talked to each other and A was in front of me and I spoke to her too. I think the friendship between me A and N became stronger but yeah

There's this one girl at my school that EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE loves because shes kind.
1. She hates me because I'm friends with someone with a bad reputation.
2. She tried to make my friends ditch me because she was bored at her friend's house. She then proceeded to say I'm overreacting. I didn't want to go to her friend's house, because he's violent and forces minors to smoke.
And yet, after all this, everyone still loves her and believes HER. Even my goddamn best friends. Why? Because shes kind. Yeah, right. She hates me because of my friends. What kind of behaviour is that? Shes also friends with my friends who talked behind my back several times and denied it. I'm certain they talk st about me when I'm not near to hear it.

Btw i disagree with the last one. I disregard questions about myself at work because my coworkers are gossip queens and make a big deal about anything and everything. I dont like to give them too much information about my personal life because their purpose is to make drama out of it. Plus they ask me all these inappropriate questions about my personal life irrelevant of work. Such as why am i still single, how old am i, medically what is my situation, how much money do i have in my bank? I think these are very disrespectful questions and crosses work boundaries. In retrospect they think i am so secretive and afraid that i am hiding stuff all the time.

This is crazy. All of the other traits I could think about fit the 1st 5. but the very last one about people who avoid personal questions hit particularly hard with me.
I have a close friend who has that one trait veeeeery very harshly. Even I noticed that about him for a long time now. Anytime I would ask them something (and I'd like to think we're close, it always seemed like they would somehow avoid the question and redirect it at me. I always thought that was just his quirk, but now I feel like there is more to that trait than I realized.

I feel like this definition of fake nice can blur with people pleasers/overly selfless people to an extent. I think over politeness and fake niceness are two sides of the same coins, but I think the biggest difference is the intention behind the actions. Some people really don't value themselves as much as others and express love language through acts of services (people pleasers) whereas the latter manipulate relationships with kindness because they value themselves more than others (fake nice)

Sometimes I think I'm fake' bcz i try to please girls around me. but it's quite opposite when it comes to boys. all the male friends i have. I've proved myself toxic to them. I've literally tortured them mentally but they still stick to me like a leech. And I'm not that beautiful ik that very well but with females i give my best and i do everything that makes her happy even though she judges me as a fake person and which made me doubt myself if I'm fake'. idk

One of my friends Taryn she trys to manipulate me and the other boys into falling in love with her. And she always talks behind my back about me and the boys. Dude, were so many fake nice people in my elementary school. So we basically have these awards every twice a year, and most people always try to be fake nice to get the awards, and it always worked which was so annoying! Like there were so many people who deserved it more than them!

Just remember everyone, just because one of your friends may have one or maybe even 2 of these traits, it doesnt automatically make them a bad person you need to cut out of your life, just be aware but dont let this stuff kill your friendships as you may regret it down the line.
