When you think of a highly intelligent person, what kind of habits come to mind? Usually, we think of a person wearing glasses, reading books, and studying. But did you know that there are other, lesser-known habits they engage in? Did you know that there are many types of intelligence? Take the QUIZ here

1: hey that's totally me!
2: that's kinda funny because I. Do that
3: this is accurate
4: this is. Too accurate.
5: ah sht.
And these are the reasons I can't study properly and fail in college
I know this video is supposed to make me feel better or something but for the first time I feel worst than before. I always have seen these traits as negative and I can't link these behaviours to intelligence in any way (I usually prefer to spend my time alone because I can't find anyone near me with the same interests so I started daydreaming and talking to myself before highschool and I still do it to this day)
I started the two last behaviours because of a lack of satisfaction in my life in my opinion
(I'm okay now btw)

I don't see how any of these traits are signs of high intelligence. All of them basically apply to myself and that hasn't led me to achieve anything of great significance in life. As far as I'm concerned these are merely oddities and curiosities that make it slightly more difficult for people like myself to integrate into modern society, but it doesn't make us significantly more intelligent than the average Joe. Having a slightly higher IQ does not make one highly intelligent and high intelligence does not necessarily lead to success in life.

Ok, so I talk to myself (no much outloud, but i do and nobody knows, heh) and in certain things, Im disorganized. About the others, Im not sure since I cant compare that, but even if so, I dont feel like highly intelligent, since I make dumb mistakes every now and then, sometimes, even though I know its bad, I find myself trying to be objective, but fail, which I think those people dont do, and I also argue with parents, which I always want to prevent, but then I lose track and it goes worse again, which again, I dont suppose intelligents do
reply

I'm still not quite sure about the first one, IT'S not that I don't feel sleepy at night, but I really prefer working or doing homework at that time, even If i want to sleep, because during the day i just can't concentrate. Another thing is that I don't perceive myself as someone intelligent, people in my life like to think that I am, but I feel the word doesn't fit me completely. Still I'm curious about it.

I don't really think I'm highly intelligent but I am glad it's a fairly normal thing to talk to yourself. I do it a lot walking around school or the store or places in general to keep whatever my next task is fresh on my mind. I also occasionally tell myself stories and stuff and have been told that's weird for a teenager to be doing so I'm glad I'm not the only one. right.
reply

Ok, I thought that when i'm disorganized and sleep to late it was because i was lazy, I thought that i dont have any best friends cause maybe i'm a loner and i'm asocial and I thought that when i daydream and talk to myself it was because i might have mental issues. But thanks to psych2go, I dont feel guilty of my habits anymore
reply

Not all intelligent people have these odd habits and not all who have these odd habits are intelligent( such as me.
My brother tho, has odder habits and is probably way more intelligent than all of us. So the correlation between odd habits and intelligence may not be baseless.
Edit: if you know who my brother is.

I talk to myself bc it helps me. It helps me when I overthink too much & just let things out or when I'm anxious. When I'm needing to motivate myself. Ig I don't talk to ppl about anything deep or depend on others to lift me so I do it myself (could also b bc I feel like I don't have anyone I could b vulnerable w.

Depending on what I am doing, I take breaks every 30 minutes or so, and everytime I do so I'm talking to myself about something different, from why 0dB is the limit for digital audio to physics to math
Good thing I'm the only one wandering around in the kitchen at 3 am

reply

Whenever I talk to myself, everyone around me thinks I am weird. One of my aquantances says I may be exhausted thanks to this habit of mine. Yet I don't care much about that comments. I may be weird but in my own way. Just they can't understand.
reply

I'm simultaneously organized and disorganized. I have all the traits in the vid but as an autistic person I need some form of structure or it's hard to do tasks but at the same time too much structure is restrictive
reply

4. 5/5 on the relatability scale, im a bit on the edge about the disorganization, on one hand def yes but i also make a bunch of rules for myself to free up brain power and i do like to structure stuff a lot
reply

help I've seen a bunch of psych2go's videos on habits or things intelligent people have, AND I HAVE ALL OF THESE AND I DO ALL OF THE THINGS THEY SAID THEY DO. I'm gonna cry bcuz I'm literally so dumb

Am I the only one who is noticing the Percy Jackson character in the background? The thumbnail is of Annabeth Chase. 1: 43 is Nico, Percy and Jason. 1: 56 Frank and Hazel. 2: 15 looks like Leo
reply

Hmmm. I score high in openness and low in conscientiousness. And I'm messy. And I'm a loner. And I talk to myself; it's getting bad. So I'm happy to learn that it's not a sign of craziness.
reply

is talking to yourself while daydreaming a good sign? i heard its called maladaptive daydreaming too, not sure tho. i feel like talking to yourself is okay but with daydreaming?
reply

Highly intelligent people do not watch videos like this that are full of stereotypes and prejudice. If they accidently did they would write a sarcastic rude comment, you wakers.
reply

this makes no sense, i watched the video of 7 genuine signs of intelligence and i couldnt relate to any, but for this i can relate to all but the first one? rly weird honestly
reply

Question: I consider myself to be organized and an early bird. Does this mean Im not highly intelligent like the rest of Psych2go? In the same aspect of intelligence

At long last God has awoken to itself. The Universe is awake, looking through your eyes at itself. Perfect, Divine, Eternal, Immortal, Absolute, Sublime.

You missed the most important one!
6. They are unhappy.
I do all the 5 things above. But, yeah super unhappy. I just wish I were happier. Sigh

Guys I have a question- is it normal to hear things, see black figure randomly in the corner of my eye, and feel something touching or behind me-
reply

Literally all of them. I think this video got it wrong cuz I meas up almost constantly, i just don't make the same mistakes twice
reply

Goddamnit ya got me. I'm 0: 24 minutes in and I'm currently watching in bed.
Edit: reaches 1: 01 minutes in
looks over at desk

reply

I surprisingly relate to all of these! Now I understand why I'm a bit disorganized and like to be alone much of the time
