I think I have the signs, I'm usually forgetful, unsure, overthinking, and can't separate from my phone.
Regarding to 1, something that happened 2-3 years ago, I've never told anyone before and it's driving me crazy. I used to babysit 2 of my cousins and sometimes used baby talk or just repeat words. Once, my friend and I were talking to someone I'm not close with. I was saying the teacher said those trees have snakes but said snakes snakes. He laughed, I panickly said that's what she said instead of saying it was baby talk, then he laughed a little more. Probably not a big deal but I can't stop thinking about it.

I could identify with all of those except the apologizing for everything. I thankfully managed to (for the most part) break that habit. One thing Ive been struggling with lately is over preparation. Sort of like the too many notes. I have to prepare to prepare myself to prepare something. I find myself chopping veggies for dinner at breakfast time, just in case something happens and god forbid i dont have time to chop veggies. then dinner will be late and everyone will be starving and hangry and it will all come crashing down on me. Does anyone else do that?

literally ever single point hit home especially the lack of sleep and eye contact my whole life I've had issues looking people in the eye or holding eye contact its weird like most people i just cant and then some rare ones i can i always assumed i could just tell on the first glimpse if the person was a good person or someone who might not be and that's why i was able to with some im learning more about my anxiety and i love it but my question is how do i improve how do i get better about it i just don't know what the first step is

#4 is the Did I save in Pokemon? Moment. You saved the game but you looked away so now you aren't sure if you saved it so you do it again and again and again just to be absolutely sure the game is saved.
Also, eye contact for me personally just feels uncomfortable. I can not make eye contact with someone without feeling like I'm making them uncomfortable because I was staring straight into their eyes. I have to be looking at something other than their eyes because I have to in order to comfortably talk with them.

Thank you Psych2Go for this. It makes me feel less crazy: )
I always forget things like did i closed doors etc. and re-re-recheck those, times when to meet - ask again and again like: ''Just checking! type of thing. I am IN SUCH AN distress and uncomfortable without my earbuds/headphones in public!
I hate this: ( THE EYE CONTACT, I am falling apart on that inside

Me who has anxiety I can relate to all of these I always have trouble sleeping I'm always apologizing and its so annoying oh sorry wait sorry oh no sorry for saying sorry oh wait I said it again! I hate making eye contact and I really don't like leaving the house without my phone and head phones so I can listen to music or a audio book

Uh oh, I do all of these, some more frequently than others, hahaha. Except maybe number 7. I might have had one, but it was more of a means to escape life as a comfort rather than just something I cling onto. I guess it would be my phone, but I think a lot of people don't like (maybe even stressed) when they leave their phone behind though

the part where it said saying sorry for most things is a habit of mine that I can't control for the life of me and, checking thing 20+ time to see if i did it also a habit, biting my nails i stopped doing that because like you said my nail beds started to hurt tysm for this and, like always i enjoyed you're video have an amazing day

Amanda, LOVE your voice! It is so soothing, especially for this kind of material. Am feeling like a little bit slower delivery would make the videos even more effective (especially for the topic of anxiety. Do please keep up the wonderful work. The videos are so helpful

When Im around people my palms go all sweaty? Is this a sign of some sort of anxiety? I also find it difficult sleeping and speaking to people and when I do Im often very quiet if I am not close to them or the first thing they say is a joe mama joke or something lol.

I only get the inanimate object thing. But could a mobile phone and a wallet be a safety blanket? I literally panic if I realize I don't have them in my pocket. It can even happen if I have them in my hand and realize they are not in my pocket. LOL

Something to help with the first one is to breath deeply and listen to it, then recreate the sound in your head and repeat it until you do it automatically. I dont know if this is a method for everyone but it definitely works for me

Eye contact if ur talking to someone. Yes! But that's how u woman get urselves into trouble. U make eye contact with the wrong guy. Next thing u know he's stalking u. I try to totally avoid eye contact with strangers. Especially men.

Waiting at a red light causes me anxiety. Everything I do is fast paced but when I'm driving I'm not concerned with much. But for some reason waiting on reds and watching the other lights turn green or yellow gets my anxiety racing

I was diagnosed with Anxiety about a year or two ago, and I have to say if you feel like you have anxiety talk to an expert IMMEDIATLY. First of all, my nervous Tics have gone away, and I don't apologies for apologizing.

Thank you for this bid. My wife of 20 yrs has anxiety really bad and I just want to understand it and her better. She has all 7. Yes it's hard to deal with but knowing is half the battle as they used to say in GI Joe!

I know someone who apologizes all the time. It's maddening. It's hard to relax when someone is always verbally flinching and cringing. Then again, he's also passive-aggressive. Maybe that reinforces the behavior.
reply

Oh my brain not shutting up use to be a real problem that kept me awake. It was like a conversation in a crowded room. Now I still have that cringe memory problem plus the eye contacts problem.
reply

I have some. I always bite my nails without realizing. I do tend to avoide eye contact, but only with certain people. I already know that I have anxiety, but I always do everything possible to be happy!
reply

My security item is definitely my air pods. I forget to take them to work, day ruined. Im having a bad, boring, or slow day? Just pop em in and let the work and music take my thoughts away.
reply

The lists! Wow my kitchen counter is covered with lists. Little pieces of paper with notes on them. Even put a note in the seat of my car to remind me to look at my list!

What about chewing your lip on the inside? It's a terrible issue especially when I'm nervous. It's bad now though, and do it all the time. Its like comforting to me.
