Failure is a subjective thing, just as success is subjective. Every person and society defines failure differently. Did you know that most successful people see failures as stepping stones to their goals? When somebody fails, it helps you get data point on what went wrong so they can focus on the next action steps. Unfortunately, when we fail, it's easy to feel like a failure and get discouraged. In this video, we share 5 reasons why failure is actually good for you. This way, you won't have a fear of failure ever again. Failure motivation can be useful. I have not failed 10, 000 times Ive successfully found 10, 000 ways that will not work. We also made a video for those who feel left behind

Way back 2017 and 2018 I failed my licensure exam and I could say that it really turned my life upside down. The pressure was real because everyone in the family expects so much of me, only to disappoint them especially my parents. I went through depression - didnt want to eat, kept crying, didnt wanna go out and spend time with family and friends, and I even broke up with my boyfriend at that time because all I felt that time was shame, I felt so dumb and so low, I just wanted to disappear. Even came to the point of wanting to kill myself. Funny how one exam can change your life and personality, yea? But it happens. Its been years now, but the pain is still there. It still haunts me. I even have nightmares about it. But I stopped trying, and I'm honestly so tired. I guess I was never meant to be a doctor haha.

Recently, i got dismissed from my nursing program in college due to my grades plunging, it was mentally and physically taxing. I always thought to myself that i've failed my family, I felt so ashamed and embarrassed that I couldnt get out of bed, eat, or go to sleep. I always told people that it was meant for me, etc but in truth, it was all denial and one of my friends could clearly tell. Now, I'm trying my best to change my field of study, my family thankfully has so many connections so they can help me too. I can help in a different light! I took this lesson of failure and said to myself I tried it, I've survived three years of it, and it's a fantastic skill set to have and know, and hey, it can and will save someone even a few seconds more. So this video, really solidified that I will make it through: 3

I feel like a failure. I've applied to hundreds of jobs and never get it. The only time I've ever gotten a job was whatever a friend work there and they said they needed somebody bad. Then I just show up and get the job automatically. But any job I've ever gone into by myself and applied and tried to get without any help, I've never gotten it. I'm 38 and I still live with my parents because I've never had a job that paid me more than $11 an hour. I don't know how to get a job that pays more than your average $10 or $11 an hour.
So you're telling me that it's a good thing that I still live with my parents and I can't find jobs? I don't get it

This is something a lot of public schools should influence their students with. It's really pathetic how failing moments are later used as punishments to make students feel bad about themselves. A lot of teachers who favor their top students don't realize that they don't become all that successful at the end because they followed way too much from the book. I grew up as the C student of my family, and I assure you that I developed all kinds of successful moments that originated from failure. It's just pitiful how some of my hypocritical teachers never saw it that way.

1: 48 the space shuttle that burnt up on re-entry was Columbia, not Challenger.
Challenger had tragically exploded on take-off back in 1986, also killing all 7 of her crew. Though lessons were learned from this disaster too (and the designs and launch practices of the space shuttles were modified) it could arguably have been prevented from happening in the first place if the ground controllers hadn't ignored their engineers warnings that conditions weren't safe to launch.

This is very true
I used to code when I was 11.
I wanted to make a cool game but never did because I always gave up.
After a year, I tried again and actually made something cool but never finished the game.
A few months later and now I've nearly finished the game, made animations and I've become an amazing coder! Soon I'lll be learning new languages and helping others.

I'm a failure you're a failure, even the billionaires are failures. You start a keto diet, you fail, I try to do 20 pullups, I fail, the rich guys tried to start a business but they failed. You cannot move on without mistakes, you need mistakes to learn what's good or bad so the next time you do something, you're more likely to succeed.

Amandas voice is soothing beyond words. I dont even bother seeing these videos through (unless the contents that relevant to me) if its not her doing the voice-over. A Friday night spent with a few drinks, chocolate-chip cookies and pizza in bed while listening to her is a Friday night well-spent.

I have this issue. My business failure is trigging my anxiety and depression recently this has got even worse as it causing me to have non epileptic seizures. This video is so perfect for me. So thank you soo much for making it. I need to get over my feeling low over failure.

I know that you want to help people to learn from fails, but that you mention Challenger disaster where astronauts died that was so dramatic. I mean it's a good example, but very tragic one and none of us doesn't want let people died, because of our fails.

You are confusing Challenger Space Shuttle with the Columbia Space Shuttle. Columbia Space Shuttle broke up returning to space while Challenger Space Shuttle blew up during take off. The Atlantis Space Shuttle didn't exist when Challenger exploded.

Just going through something similar from few days. I'm not able to work with full concentration and dedication. I have been feeling that I'm a failure. And it's been putting me down and I have been falling in a depressive rut.

2 I don't know. I just punched myself in the face multiple times violently to the point where my face is swollen and my teeth hurt. Why? Because I failed and feel like a failure.
I cannot accept being a worthless failure.

I have a competition tomorrow. Thank you for sharing this. I find feelings following failure suffocating and hurtful. I hope I would succeed tomorrow. But if not, I will do my best to accept it and try again: D

I just got fired from my job on my birthday. It was a difficult 3 months having felt I had no guidance, leading to my unhappiness there. I think it was a failure. I know I'm going to get better.

This is so truee and i think many people (including me) often forget that we NEED to make mistakes in order to grow and achieve things in life. Thank you for this reminder

I think the space shuttle analogy doesn't work. Challenger exploded due to management ignoring the warnings from engineers in order to fit a deadline.

I fail more than 500 experiment, i think even more but as long you can narrow those failures you will get what you want

The only thing I'm learning from my current failures is that nobody cares about me and what I have to offer at all.
