My fiancee does all these things and more. When I wouldn't go get the marriage license when she wanted, she went to the bedroom threw a tantrum. She spent 2-3 days like I didn't exsist. She didn't talk to me for several days and then called called 911 and 4 cops and an ambulance showed up. She had told the 911 operator I held her against her will the last 3 days. As I explaid to the police that she went to the bank, gas station and a store they sent another officer to check video at several places and quickly saw the truth. I had called her parents the lead officer asked them has she dine things like this before. They said growing up she always made things up needed to be the center of attention. I was like and why didn't anyone tell me. This was all just the start of signs of her manipulating game. Why is it I can't break away from her why do I still try. I had a horrible childhood and have felt other gave up on me. She says everyone gives up on her. I'm a Combat Marine I see a therapist but I feel like I'm losing my mind. The obvious thing is to tell her to kick rocks I know but not sure why I can't.

i'm not sure if this is a narcissistic manipulation or something but it is definitely a sort of manipulation: basically someone gives you like a ton of attention and they're super nice to you and all and then suddenly they start ignoring you and acting like you're not friends anymore and so you wonder hey what the hell. then they give attention back to you but not nearly as much as before. then they take it back and ignore you and stuff again, then they give it back but not as much as before. they keep taking it away and giving the attention and kindness back but never to the same amount as before. it keeps you wanting to get closer to them intimately making you crave their intimacy. it's a really bad form of manipulation to get someone to want to give you so much attention.
by the way, i got this information from someone else, my friend sent me a vid because they think i'm in a toxic relationship. i don't remember whos info it is

Talk to them about a problem you're having an either tell you how to fix it and if you take the advice and it doesn't work they'll gaslight that they didn't offer that to you or find a reason you didn't do it exactly as they said. If you don't take their advice they'll get offended and argue with you and guilt/shame you. Or something my parents would do a lot, you tell them a problem you're having and they then start talking about their past and how bad it was for them, you would hear this story over and over to the point you could finish their sentence and if you interrupt it's Let me finish. followed by another hour of their past. Keep interrupting and your rude and trying to dominate the discussion.

I was just now able to get out of a toxic and manipulative friendship after 2 years in the dark. He was toxic, manipulative, and he would guilt trip me when I didnt help him with his mental issues. Thankfully, thanks to another friend, I was able to get out of that friendship.
I always struggle with depicting being a friend from being manipulated and used, and it will take some time for me to figure that difference out.
I still have toxic friendships, that Im working on getting out of. One of them Ive been friends with for 7 years, going onto 8. I dont know how to leave them, as they make me happy, but they also put all their problems on me and encourage me to ignore people who are my friends.

True or false?
_The child of two narcissistic parents must also be a narcissist, whether by heredity, upbringing, or other intrinsic factors. _
Whats your perspective?
Personally, I reason this to be false; as humans, we each have freedom of will, and with that comes the potential for mindfulness and, ultimately, choice in the kind of person we aspire to be.
Just as someone raised by one or more narcissistic guardians repeat the pattern, so too may they recognise the potential harm in passing on such traits to their descendants, using their experiences to buck the trend, break the mould, and build an image of integrity, fairness, and compassion for all.

Have you guys considered making more content about fixing the problems you identify within yourself? I've been struggling to identify some of my flaws, but now that I've gotten there, I have no idea what to do next. I've looked online, but it's slow-going and I really love Psych2Go videos, so it'd be pretty helpful I think. My current issue is my lack of motivation and commitment to finish things I begin. It's been causing a lot of issues but most of what I find is relationship-specific which isn't what I need lol. Idk if anyone will actually see this, but I don't know hot to suggest otherwise, so: )

I'm living with a narcissist now and my dad is one. I luckily got experience dealing with them so he's very vindictive now against me because I don't follow all his orders as a woman should and go against them very often. Most amusing part is that his siblings is on his side, well most of them, but his nieces is actually on my side. I luckily found the signs very early on and they are going to break up soon, well when we move so he can go back to his sister/nieces house.

as much as I appreciate your videos, I'm not sure if you understand how these terms that have the word narcissistic followed by some abuse term is genuinely very ableist towards those with NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) and villainizes them. Someone having NPD does not automatically make them abusive/manipulative, and narcissistic abuse is really just abuse with a harmful label slapped onto it.

My besties bf is a complete narcissist! All he does is manipulate her, triangulates her with his parents so their against her and always has to have things HIS way all the time! When she was living with him, she was helping to pay rent, clean the apartment, help with making food, etc and he still called it HIS apartment whenever they had an argument

That first one sounds a lot like HFA when ive found a new exciting thing.
That's why intent is as important as behavior, but I keep being told that's cause I'm autistic. Don't really care why it matters to me, if more people cared about each other's actions and intent, other than when they feel wronged.

I've been involved with a guy for over four years and I have never met anyone so rude. It doesn't matter who is trying to say something, he is going to butt in everytime. Everyone has told him how very rude and disrespectful it is, but he just doesn't get it. He's 54 yrs old but acts like he's three.

ew the term narcissistic abuse is gross. theyre people too, and as someone who faced abuse from a narcissist, literally dont say narc abuse. it stigmatizes a mental disorder and completely villianizes cluster b. and as someone whos cluster b, histrionic, we dont need any more of that shit
reply

This is for anyone who's experienced abuse at the hands of a narcissist - you are valuable and worthy!
It's easy to feel like you're not worthwhile, and I just want you to know I'm rooting for you and sending positive vibes your way.
Here's to an AWESOME year for you

My mom is very controlling and narcissistic she does a lot of this to not just me but everyone around her. And heavens forbid I don't do what she wants when it comes to my money and my relationships. I literally don't hear the end of it until I've done what she wants

I say if at all possible avoid the narcissistic person, might not be possible in every case (like having a narcissistic parent or boss) but definitely take the time to learn what the red flags are etc. will save you a lot of heartache in the future

My ex wife is a narcissist, I was coerced into many things I did not want to do because of her needing to control me. Me emotionally fighting back was also not my proudest moments, but thank goodness I am out of that swamp now. :)

Have to be able to distinguish Narcissistic rage from the withdrawal associated with RSD as those with RSD will withdrawal as well if rejection is even imagined but someone with RSD has no ill intent towards anyone but themselves.
reply

I am the one who controls people. But I dont fully control them or isolate them. A friend in my old friend group controls people to the fullest. A friend in my current friend also controls people so dont discriminate everyone
reply

Most of them are really good at manipulation. It took me almost 17 years to file for divorce. And a lot more tactics are included, watching Doctor Ramani's videos helped me open my eyes and regain myself
reply

Mind games are manipulative tactics that people use to gain control over others. These games can be harmful to your emotional well-being, and it's essential to recognize them and avoid falling for them.
