England is the main reason the USA never bought Greenland. Back when Willam Seward tried and when we tried again a few years ago. England said they will stop Denmark from ever selling it to the USA if tried. During the first attempt England stopped it and also bribed British Columbia at the same time to join what would be Canada. They would Buy it, Cancel all their debts, and Connect it with a Railroad to the east of Canada. Before hand BC was close to joining the Union and was even favored by the people doing so. Plan for the union was to add BC as a state and connect Alaska to the rest of the nation by rail while also decreasing British dominance.

Yes, we should buy Greenland, hopefully Trump or someone like him becomes president again soon so they can get to work on talks with Denmark and Greenland officials to buy it. It would be a win for both Greenland and the US, it would also keep Communist China away, and you're right about it being strategic to our defense. More money from the US would be put into Greenland like tourism, and more American businesses would help it as well, more Americans would move there, and someday it can become a state. Do it!

Whether they like it or not, if we are to unify under one flag It wont be called ''United States'' and it will need crucial political reforms that can benefits both parties, otherwise It won't work, both Canadians/Americans will have to accept to get rid of their respectives cultural/social traits to unify under a new nation with new political/social structures.

What if American asked Greenland to join as a new state and payed every Greenland citizen a lump sum after they join vote for independence and then join the us -
Greenland only has a population of 56 thousand.

Greenland is actually much much smaller than you showed, looks like you have no idea how maps work. The closer an area is to the top\bottom, the bigger it looks on the map to adjust for earth's curvature. its not accurate but its the best way to represent earth on a map.

I say we get Canada to go halfsies with us. This way they will be protected on multiple sides and won-t have to worry about having a military. Then we classify Canada as a communist dictatorship in need of freedom and invade. That sweet maple syrup will be ours

I'm waiting for the first official civilian flight from the US and Canada to Greenland, and then more investment will follow. We will always want Greenland to be part of the family. Another 100 years will do it.

Greenland already has high autonomy. Most Greenlanders prefer independence or staying with Denmark than being a part of the US. It-s probably not going to happen.
