Going off what they are saying, tell me, is humanity ethical in the continued destruction of nature and the killing off of speices for the sake of a self made construct of wealth for just a few? A mass extinction event where very few will survive to then become the new form of life, when instead of a random, uncontrollable event, it was rather a collective choice do extinguish trillions of lives that would have otherwise been unaffected so that a few can hold riches and power will so many of our own speices suffers?
Before anyone says but speices go extinct all the time, remember that as speices evolve they no longer meet the requirements of one speices and become another. This is most likely the main driver of extinction in most cases. Take the jungle foul that became the chicken, it ceased to be the original speices and is noted the modern chicken. While the original is extinct, it's successor is live. Dogs and wolves are another good example. The original wolf that became dogs, and later the modern Grey wolf is extinct but it's successors are not

It's not really complicated. However it's made to be a dilemma by those who already decided that humans have out lived their value and it's time to favor non human entities. This line of reasoning is nothing short of anti human at it's core. Cause in order to protect non human life completely, you have at some point to kill some humans and force this new pyramid of value.

Human Test Subject can be available if we all agreed that is necessary sacrifice. The thing is who are the test subject should be? Anyone from anywhere? Trafficked Human? Newborns? It's not just Ethically or Morally bad, also commercially difficult to test on us Humans. As the cost to grow us Human take millions to reach adulthood. Not to mention time, almost 20 years. Animal are a fraction of that. So yeah! deal with it for the time being and put this in the back of mind and press on. One possibility is to make a Human clones. Lots and lots of clones and see the issue skyrocketed through the solar system.

People are sentient beings. We continue to inflict cruelty on everyone and everything, even though we are aware of it. As a result, human lives are less valuable than non-sentient beings', who are unaware of how their actions affect others. To be clear, I will continue to eat bacon, ham, beef, and fish, but the only thing preventing me from eating humans is a lack of confidence in the taste being worth the effort to cook it rather than ethical concerns over the value of life.

Well, to be honest there can be no conclusion to this argument because it is essentially our nature to keep ourselves safe. We are naturally biased in our opinions. We cannot turn away from the fact that in end we still want better medications and treatments for ourselves and for those close to us even at the cost of someone else's suffering.
To be precise, moral ethics are only acceptable to a person if it doesn't go against his/her needs.

I don't think Human lives are more valuable but we can do so much more with our lives, we can remember the sacrifices made, pay homage to them and know when we have gone too far. Animals can't do that since they don't even have the means to care or realize the meaning of value of life.
With that in mind I think Humans life is far more valuable as it can appreciate what it has and scorn what it takes

There is no objective reason to consider other species' lives as equal or more valuable than ours. The morality is based in empathy; we care more if a dog dies than an insect. The problem is that empathy is relative since it varies so much between cultures and individuals. Since morality is not objective then I think its acceptable to construct the hierarchy of beings--the pyramid one.

Think about it this way: Humans are the only ones who have the ability to protect and preserve all other animals. Which means humans are more valuable than other animals BECAUSE they are able to recognize the value of other animals. We do experiments on few animals so that we protect and preserve way more, they are necessary sacrifices for the greater good of saving whole species.

I find it interesting that so much concern is placed on the welfare of animals but yet we still have wars, genocide, poverty, homelessness and many other concerns that befall mankind that do not have an outcry equal to that of animals. I fear that this type of concern could lead to the extinction of the human race. As a member of that race I find that personally concerning.

The inherent idea of human life being more important happens because the idea is borne out if us, humans. A simple biological theory, bigger and stronger you are, more are your chances of survival. Darwinism. So as long as we are at the top, while doing harmful things to other animal being ethically wrong, it is required for our survival and well, Darwinism.

You need to make sure that your vaccine has a high probability of success. You then need to review all the side effects it may have and the mortality rate of those effects. It should not be more than a certain number. But most important you need to make sure how important is the vaccine and will all the variants of viruses be resistant to it? I don't think so.

well suppose a meteoir hit the earth, whos gonna save everyone? humans, who fertilized crops and increased food production that benefits all beings who eat food? Humans! suppose a wild fires happened, or some natural disaster, whos gonna save the forrest and save its animals? humans! if humans don't survive, how will they save other beings?

Obviously human lives are more valued to us (humans) just as an ant life is more valued to an ant, if an ant could decide whether a human or ant dies it would pick a human, all that matters is what species you are or which animal offers more value to advancement/sustainability, this whole videos philosophical dilemmas seem quite flawed.

We are animals. We are a species's that doesn't want to go extinct. I believe in protecting the environment because if we don't our species will go extinct. Unfortunately if we do not test life saving medication's on animals that could also lead to our extinction. Survival is cruel. There are no easy answers.
