It shouldn't be surprising when a light-hearted clip inspires wild comments. Get a cuppa and relax.
The tea plant is indigenous to an area crossed by the Indian, Myanmar, and Chinese borders. But none of these countries existed when tea was 1st cultivated so none of them can 'claim' it exclusively.
China used England's tea addiction to almost bankrupt its government. England used China's opium addiction to bankrupt its government.
China started a trade war with Britain and lost.

How convenient to ignore that tea was described in the Indian Vedas (1500 BC, and the tea plant is native to north east India (and is shielded from the Chinese by the Himalayas, where the native people have been brewing the Assam tea variety (different to the common Chinese tea plant) for Millenia. Can we for once have a historical representation that is not biased towards the Western or now Chinese world? One which is based on historical facts!

No. You cannot afford it England.
Oh, I see. Let me just have a word with my companions in private.
Of course.
Poison them with opium and kill their children.
But sir, isn't that a bit drastic?
Oh shut it Ronald! It's bloody tea we're talking about. FOKKING TEA MATE! WE MUST HAVE THE FOKKING TEA MATE!

reply
