Rasputin's prophecy about his death was actually quite accurate. He wrote a letter to the tsar in 1916 which said that if he was killed by peasants, the royal family would be fine, but if he was killed by the nobles, the royal family would not last more than 2 years.

Rasputin did what he did because he was part of the Green Dragon satanic cult, which still exists in China, but in the early 20th century had many Russian and German members. It is closely linked with Freemasonry. However, he refused the key ritual of all dark paths, which was to sleep with another man, so he was murdered. I bet Rasputin was really smart and knew he had power over the lower classes as they respected him and understood the sensitive tensions in Russia therefore he knew killing him would resolve in the end of the royal family
