Actually, there are two problems here.
Methodologically, all the guests and speakers are from one side which is critically serious for the narrative and credibility of the story.
Secondly, half of the reality always misleads. One of the Israeli speakers has spoken about the necessity of passing the canal to the west; otherwise, we lose. Actually, crossing the canal by the Israelis has been used for propaganda and later for bargaining in the negotiation.
Why do I say that?
Did the crossing Israeli troops made a progress on the western side of the canal in terms of winning important cities or strongholds?
The answer is No. Sharon and Adan have tried to attack the two main cities around Defersoar which are Ismailia in the North and Suez in the south. There were two huge battles that the Egyptians won at the two cities.
Both trials of taking the main two cities had ended in an ultimatum failure and withdrawal despite that in Suez for example, ordinary people and the police of the city who cost the Israelis heavy casualties and enforced them to be stuck in the desert between Ismailia and Suez. So, they just put their legs on the other side.
So, Do not overestimate it and say that they have reached Africa and are about 150 Kilometers from Cairo. If the Israelis did not manage to enter small cities fought by citizens and police, what about the populated city of Cairo and the Egyptian Army and the National Guard there?
Indeed, I recommend you come across the diaries of General. Al-Gamssi has already put a clear plan to neutralize this gap.
Above all, The Egyptian army was not fighting the Israelis alone as they fought against the US supplies after the SOS signal by prime minister Golda Meir which surely affects the operationalization of the war.
This lucky crossing is just a battle among 50 or 60 battles within the war. So, be fair.
On the other side, despite that our armament was from the USSR; Sadat has expelled their experts because they were reluctant to support us with the weapons which happened hardly over the previous years to 1973 and that's why Sadat has changed his foreign policy to be closer to the US, unlike President Nasser. So, if they did me a favor in my war; how I can turn my back to them. Is it logical for the Syrians to do that with Putin now!
Finally, the Israelis do not give any lands for free or for peace as a kind of defensive propaganda. What we have learned is that only force that they understand and that's what Realism or Real Politik in International relations is about power.
I hope next time, you can tell us more about the miracle of our crossing that you have mentioned in a sentence and how their Maginot line was abolished

The large numbers of soviet sams 1 -4 & sagar anti-armor missils were all thanks to the perfidous JFK who sold our 95& silver wire to the soviets at an effective price of $3. 50 a pound when the worlds price back than was $6. 50 a pound. JFK was trading it for chrome, which had a world price of $3. 50 pound & Canada offered to sell it to us at $3. 00 a pound cash. So thanks to him both the US & Irael lost several thousands me. That's 1 reason that in my list of the 5 worst presidents since 1900 he's second. Because in truth he was a traitor.

Today this kind of tank battle is impossible. I mean this long. Both sides would have destroyers air-to-land ability to strike, Su-30 and F-22 Raptor, both originally to meet one and other in mid-air buth both now able to drop bombs and and other nasty stuff on the offence side infantry. And missiles, that is another story. ( I'm not saying that they have these modern fighters at any side yet but similar little older pieces of aviation art and craft like Su-27 and F-18 Hornet.

Arab armies always rely on having hordes of soldiers trying to overwhelm the opposition. Its quantity and not quality for them. They try and overwhelm the enemy with displays of mass marching and shouting of slogans. Israel wasnt complacent or arrogant, its a small country thats faced with neighbouring countries that have huge armies and no qualms about sacrificing tens of thousands of soldiers.

I was also America and Britain supported Israel extensively, and they had the latest equipment, although I am Egypt, he only had weak equipment. I want to make it clear what the Egyptian army has since the beginning of the world and not the end of the year will always be free and stable And no one can stop him even when you had the latest equipment, you are weak in front of the Egyptian army

Finally gave up listening to this because 1) the big deal martial music unnecessarily blarring constantly and 2, two different languages going at once and 3, superimposed recorded battle noise adding to the aural confusion made it not worth pursuing. Repeating exact wordings from time to time also was annoying. Too bad as that portion of Middle East history is fascinating.

around minute 19: 30, it is said with their surrounded soldiers rescued or something similar. it's important to note that this is not entirely true, as some posts fell captive (out of 505 soldiers in the post-line, 126 were killed or are missing, 162 were captured, 65 stood still in a remote post unreachable by the egyptian army, and 123 were able to withdraw

Israelis don't look much different to me than the Arabs. Why have people hated the Jews so much throughout history? Very strange, Even some Christians hated them or were supposed to be Christians. Was it because they worshipped the one true sky God, while others worshipped the Dagon the half-fish half-man, Baal, various Roman gods, or the Moon God

Not many would know, but Nixon, who saw a potential ally in Egypt after Sadat snubbed the Soviet Union, played both sides during this conflict: He continued the American policy of diplomatically supporting Israel alongside placing a nuclear powered fleet in the Mediterranean in case Israeli Forces advanced too far into Egyptian territory.

Why you went in details about the defeated Egyptian Army in 1967, whereas the topic is about Arabs/Egyptian victory in 1973! Arabs did not have the chance to fight and defend themselves in 67, cause the Israeli forces suddenly attacked Egypt, Joran, Syria. It is a political victory but not a military one!

The war ended with Israeli victory, the peace agreement was years later, and it's not related to this war, this movie is not showing the real reason why the war started nor
why Egypt calls it a victory, nor why Egypt asked for a peace agreement few years after the war.

Meaningless war in a piece of desert land to lose too many lives. Arabs and Jewish need to find a way to live together in peace. After all they belong to the same family, the Abrahim/Ibrahim. Their politicians need to educate their people that they belong together.

The importance of the war was to restore national pride, which it did. They did have much larger aims, and those were blunted of course. The offensive, against the wishes of Sadat's staff, only came about due to Syrian requests(demands.

The biggest mistake made was not taking Cairo in '67. The Israeli's would have saved many casualties in the long run by completely leveling Egypt when they had the chance. Should have destroyed Cairo and hung Al Nasser up by his balls.

Well. One thing left out is that Israel came very close to using nuclear weapons. The story is this was more of a threat and a ransom demand to Nixon to supply Israel with the conventual weapons needed to win the war. Nixon caved in.

Impressive documentary! Great work! The most interesting part was to see veterans talking about their perspective. When we were working on Yom Kippur War Simulator veterans perspective from both sides was extremely valuable for us.
