It certainly didn't shattered Napoleon's plans, especially when the Admiral Villenueve was the only one who disobeyed the orders to stay in port to pose as a fleet in being, But considering who mainly the fear of the British who was an invasion of their islands, was certainly not going to happen and the French won this war it underscore the entire argument for the title
