simple concept basic logic if life is not free why the hell would death be any cheaper it's not. So the question one may wonder is the spiritual cost to one's own soul and spirit for having lived and died to the lowest standards of quality for so many years now global pollution has diminished the quality of life to the point where today's people are living, dying and yielding the worst spiritual kickback that has ever been manifested since the beginning of life only getting worse. The polar opposite extreme to that is today's people should be living and dying to the highest standards of quality which would make each and every moment physically, mentally, financially and spiritually beneficial. No if I were to living at Medieval Era, I surely died now due to pneumonia before reaching my 30 years old, that pneumonia disease that attack your lung. go about, 2 month treatment in ward hospital, then extra 7 month for medication for extra infection on my lung. They make hole near my rib to inspect my disease, suck out 3 liter of water from my lung with 2 small wire medical from back of my upper body. If I were to living back then, I surely need to face slow dying, like can't lay down to even sleep, cause some liquid is slowly hardening inside your lung and eventually cut your breath completely.

Pretty much: Since the germ theory wasn't widely believed yet, you'd hardly survive. Chances of anyone surviving, even survivalists' around the time still really had a low chance of surviving local and global plagues. Yeah, humans really put up with a lot for the past 10 million years tbh, we're not called the most intelligent species for no reason, we were just able to come up with all of these methods for survival.

1: 51 just a note here Rats DID NOT carry the black plague! It was actually the fleas on the rats that carried the plague and when the rat died (ie the flea's and therefore the plague's host) the flea then went to other animals such as livestock and pets which then spread it to humans. Since sanititation practices were poor back then the plague was able to spread like wildfire.

I would rather take my chances on the diseases in the summer in Rome, despite the other crap rome goes through, but with the gangs and chamber pots, I'd just be the crazy dude in full body armor. I would be broke making the armor but I would take up bounty hunting on the gangs of rome. Or just join the legion either way I die fighting over losing my life because of a disease.

I'm a black guy so I guess I could travel back to the feudal society that my ancestors were from in Ethiopia. Ain't no way I'm going to Europe or North America pre 1800s though, chances are I'll get killed or forced to work. And let me tell you something, I would make an awful slave, I am very skinny and do not do too well in the sun. Cold weather is the best.

I would absolutely not survive. First off, I was born via c-section so that already ends it. But even if we skip birth, I am very nearsighted and have suffered from severe mental illness since childhood, so on the off chance I would live, I would be in an asylum getting tortured and gawked at by tourists, so I think death is the better option here.

Survival was like winning the lottery in those days. If yo were lucky enough to not die of a plague or disease, you could still look at someone the wrong way and be hung for treason, witchcraft, paganism or something they made up on the spot. If you were a woman, you had no more rights than your dog did.

I think I'll stick with this era since we have antibiotics, vaccines for many diseases, and are still making advances in medicine that are prolonging life. Returning to a past era would mean living at a time where the life expectancy was 20-30+ years lower than it is now.

Plague is readily treatable with antibiotics. I'd like to go to a plague outbreak because I would get to wear one of those funky masks that make you look like a giant bird. And I could surreptitiously treat people with antibiotics.

How about just time travel to time of peace? Like Native America before Columbus and live with the Indegenous in Paradise. this should just be called the plagues throughout time it was kind annoying that this was so negative

I am the sum of my ancestors who survived, and I keep this is mind every day, so I think I would be able to survive any time, as long as I wasn't subject to something totally crazy and out of my control. Who knows though.
