The conspirators had they survived and had Anthony and Octavian not been able to get revenge, the republic would have produced another civil war some time after. The problem with the roman republic was the lack of constitutional response to a dictatorship with overwhelming military power. How would power return to the institutions of the republic? There was no answer to this and that power created a principate. The kind of thing romans vowed to never allow again after they ended the monarchy. That is an actual warning to modern democracies.

I would like to know if the one third, two thirds, three thirds divide of the american revolution is really true. I have heard that the official history that one third was pro, another third was ney, and the last third being neutral is actually a myth. It just justifies the am revolution. But in reality, 10 percent or less actually wanted independence. But our history books don't say that because of the irony of it all.

No. No he was not. That was undoubtedly Titus Labienus. Albinus was a junior member of legates, so still inner circle and Caesar really loved him (like a son he is report to have said) but not really the guy Caesar would turn to in a crisis. You guys do get a ton of details wrong or told so quickly that it skips important details.

Let's be honest I very much doubt these senators were honourable men who did it for the good of Rome as we have been told they claimed, they more likely did it for their own power. History indicates that Roman senators were no different to our politicians today and were mostly concerned with their own positions and wealth.
