I was only nine when Janice died but I never forgot her music and to this day White rabbit is my favorite. As a kid I had the instant connection in my mind with Alice in Wonderland which if you listen is very very much what the song is about. The venom a sharp tongues is what drove Janice to her bad habits and her lack of self-worth she didn't want to live because of it. Her behavior was a fatal dose of lack of self-esteem combined with trying to numb her deepest pain. She was deemed immoral by immoral people who did not care what pushed her to the precipice she was on.

One my regrets in this life is that I never got to be at a live performance of hers. Thankfully with the internet I can enjoy many of them whenever I want. She was a person who never forgot her humble roots and I believe thats part of the reason the blues were her motivation. Like Amy Winehouse a super talent, a humble human being who the only ones they hurt were themselves. We lost them too soon but we have legacy of their performances. RIP Janis and Amy

I watched a doc about her. and during an interview one of the male band member said something not very nice. I don't remember what it was he said, wasn't that bad, just a bad joke maybe. but you could tell she was holding back tears and wanted to cry over it. she was a sensitive soul. in a very tough business. during a time when men really treated women like shit. men now are nothing like they were back in the day.

Janis did more for the world than she realises, and she was in no way ugly, maybe to the loser misogynistic jocks at her school that never made a mark on this world besides fuelling her music, Her music will live on forever, as a Millennial my kids know Janis very well and I'm sure my grandkids if they chose to have them, will hear her music also. One of a kind.

If she only had known how talented, beautiful and powerful she was and had had the chance to receive the help she needed, she'd be alive and kickin'.
And also many of us would have had the chance to see her live.

Hey! Good into! . I was waiting for 6: 40 to come around. People can be such unspeakable jerks. I believe the bullies killed Janis. Slowly but surely, their poison tongues ate away at their target. Where was karma when they deserved it most? I sort of wonder if any of them believe in an after life, and how things are going to pan out for them there?

How would her life have turned out and if she had lived longer? Well, I guess there is really no way to know. I have wondered how my life would have turned out if God would have given me the really true blessing of being in her presence even for a few short hours. I do know she held my soul in her hands when she poured hers out with her songs.

Janis Joplin was beautiful and rare and unique and talented and I hope she knows now how loved and cherished she was and is. And how that she lives on forever. The media did her wrong, just like they do almost everyone wrong. She was another one we lost way too soon

Always liked Janis' voice, powerful and heartfelt. People can really be mean. She wasn't ugly, she had a nice face and pretty blue eyes, and a kind heart.
