Personally I don't give a shit about Kurt's philosophy. I was born the same year he was, I became a musician around the same time he did. Also I think Axl Rose was an asshole but I don't give a shit about what Kurt think's his lyrics mean, to be honest they're ultra vague. I care about music and when you start attaching social and political meaning to art it ceases to be art and becomes a political intervention. What makes art art and what makes it ugly, shocking or beautiful is that it doesn't mean anything, it is an aesthetic experience and the greater the experience the better the art. GnR could play the shit out of those instruments and the way Slash places a harmonic minor scale in his Sweet Child of Mine solo is brilliant. Nirvana is redundant and ultra basic musically. Not wanting to be mean but to consider KC a great guitarist is like saying Sarah Silverman is one of the best comedians of all time. Nirvana is the most overrated band ever alongside KISS, they could barely play and their music was basic almost childlike, but hey ABBA sold more records than Sprinsteen. So what.

I was the biggest fan of Nirvana until I wasn't. Kurt was an average at best joke of a junkie. Period. Barely worth the effort of typing these words. SOOOOO many better artists than Nirvana and Guns was WAY better for a million different reasons. Grunge junkies are a joke and ended up as so. So sad but, necessary for wisdom I suppose. Kurt, if you're brain wasn't scattered on the wall, you'd be even less remembered you psy ass excuse for a human. Oh poor me. I'm a rock star with millions of dollars and a junkie. life is so hard. You sad ass excuse for flesh. What a coward. Not a rock star. A coward.

I wouldn't call it a petty feud. Most semi-famous people would be starstruck and kiss the ass of someone more famous than they are (at the time) to make money and clout. Kurt put his money where his mouth is; he didn't fck with Axl's behavior and it didn't align with his values, and therefore he didn't care how much money or clout being endorsed by and touring with GnR could bring him, even during the Bleach era when Kurt and Nirvana were nothing yet compared to GnR. This is one of the biggest reasons I have as much love and respect for him as I do.

I had no idea of this
Shows how strong his values were aye!
Standing up to the big boys is hard, especially bwhen they're bin a position to catapult you to immediate stardom.
No doubt itvwould have been huge for nirvana to tour with them on two of the most iconic albums of all time for metal. Use your illusion and black were HUGE. But Cobains quiet decline bias even bigger as it shows us how to walk the walk.

Guns N Roses always outshined Nirvana in terms of success. I've seen people fall for the historical revisionism hook line and sinker and compare Nirvana to the Beatles, like Nirvana was the biggest thing in music in the early 90s. The fact was they werent even the biggest grunge band - that would be Pearl Jam (look up the stats - Ten and Vs crushed Nevermind and In Utero, and GnR was bigger than Pearl Jam so.

Poor Duff felt like it was his fault later, you know, the suicide of Kurt. He said in his books that it hurt him so much that people were jumping into conclusions that only if he would invite Kurt to his house, he would've still been alive today. Some people even had the audacity to say it's Duff who is the killer. Can you imagine? I feel so bad for him.

Fun fact: Kurt was a big fan of Metallica. Theres a really funny clip out there of Kirk Hammett saying how Whiplash was Kurts favorite Metallica song, and at a show, Kurt was in the front row and he kept waving wildly at Kirk and shouting for them to play Whiplash, and so they did play Whiplash

Axl was absolutely wild, rebellious, crazy, a little insane, dangerous, unpredictable BUT a musical genius to where he is still here and still bringing an amazing performance.
Nirvana Kurt great band and will always be remembered BUT they are no longer here!

It's all about who you associate yourself with and being discriminate with that. Just because you're famous doesn't mean you're not a person with judgement and character. We live and we die just like anyone.

The petty feud occured because Kurt knew Rose was a woman beater and treated them poorly, but also other serious character defects. It wasn't just his distaste for corporate music.

Axel Rose was and still is a douche trying to sound like Robert Plant.
Kurt Cobain besides his music/ ability to play guitar is that he wasn't in it to bang groupies and supermodels.

I have an answer to the question at the end of the video. Obviously Axl Rose won, especially when the piece of crap selfish prick killed himself and left his daughter behind

Being married to Courtney was not anything to be excited about and Kurt was a junkie and apparently he felt his music was important for some reason but Axl is a prick.

They're both right about one another as far as I'm concerned. Axl was a douchebag and Kurt was a junkie acting like a tortured artist.

Nirvana is way over rated. Im just going to say it. Im sure I am going to get threatened, or hate comments, but just my opinion.
