If you grew up in the '80s, there is a good chance you can remember the catchy Fraggle Rock theme song. The catchy opening jingle wasn't the only interesting aspect of the show. Fraggle Rock was arguably one of the best Jim Henson productions ever. It was even better than the muppets. Even if you're a Kermit fan who can't co-sign that statement, you have to agree that Fraggle Rock is fantastic and completely weird. Tom: All five senses. Here's some weird facts about senses and how many of them there are: There are nine confirmed human senses, twenty-one confirmed but not as focused, and thirty-three debatable ones. Some of the senses that are not taught in grade school include nociception and proprioception. There could be a Weird History episode in there somewhere.

This was my lifeblood following the storylines as a deep thinking kid in the 80s surrounded by brothers watching a steady diet of Mr T, Dukes ofhazard and Knight Rider. I remember my special pride and joy was the accompaying picture book featuring many of the shows episodes, one little tidbit not mentioned here was the fraggles favourite pastime of swimmng involving many awesome bombs, Red being the most daredevilish of them all.

Who could forget fraggle rock and Margery the Talking Trash Heap? I was in my twenties and still enjoyed it. What about HR. Pufnstuff or Land of the Lost. i know a Disney movie that no one younger than 60 years old has every seen or remembers. Was called The Song of the South. Imagine Dick van Dyke in blackface and Uncle Tom's Cabin set to upbeat bouncy Disney soundtrack, with Scatman Crothets as uncle Remus

Of course I watched Fraggle Rock and no HBO either. it was aired in many countries and back then I think we watched TV more than we do now. Nowadays the TV is for Netflix Disney + and gaming. Maybe Wierd History could start a series of all the popular TV shows we had trough the decades.

We lived out in the country and couldn't get cable tv, which also means, no HBO. But we were able to see some of the episodes when they came out on vhs and we were enthralled with it! Thanks for putting this out all you Weirdos from Weird History. I say that with love and humor!

This show was my childhood. Latch key kid and all. Had my Transformers, G. I. Joes, Gobots and Masters of the Universe figures in front of me with wooden bricks for smashing and a BIG OL BOWL of Froot Loops. Dance your cares away! clap clap Worries for another day!

Forgotten! I'm Spanish and, besides that any kid from the 80s perfectly remembers this show, and Fraggle puppets are quite easy to find in comic stores, it received a new dubbing and was broadcasted again in 2021. I'm sorry if it's been forgotten in its country of origin!

I wouldn't say that the fraggles were forgotten you can still watch this show on digital TV. And if someone who grew up in the '80s, this was definitely one of the best shows to watch if you had HBO I remember they show this every Sunday morning where I lived.

Fraggle Rock definitely hasn't been forgotten especially in my house. I have some Fraggle Rock Tshirts and I always have people comment on how that was their favorite show and still love it to this day. It's a great show and will always be near and dear to my heart.

I turn fifty this year. My folks didn t get HBO, so I never got Fraggled, but I would have been nine or ten when the store started airing. I don t think it would have caught my interest. I was watching re-runs of 50s - 70s sitcoms at that age.

I was a parent of a son born in the '80s, and Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street and The Muppet Show were on his list (actually, MY list) of things he and I could watch together without me having a headache afterwards! (Barney, no way)

A couple years ago it was streaming, I watched quite a bit of it again. The feels hit hard that s for sure.
It could have been hbo max, we (my 2 year old at the time) started watching Sesame Street from about 1983 at the same time.

Fraggle Rock was and still is one of my favorite Jim Henson studio creations. It had a pretty lengthy run, so I certainly wouldn't consider it forgotten or obscure. The entertainment value and lessons still hold up today.

Some of the puppets from Fraggle are on display at the Center For Puppetry Arts in Atlanta. There's a huge collection of Henson puppets there. So huge the collection is rotated out every once or twice a yr.
