The Most Valuable Fisher-Price Toys In History

When it comes to classic toys, Fisher-Price is at the top of the list. Founded in 1930, the popular child s toy line came to fame in the 1960s with their incredibly popular Little People line. These vintage Fisher-Price toys featured adorable little figures packed inside fun and educational playsets. While most of the toys were staples in households from the late '60s up to the early '90s, it turns out those old toys you used to play can sell for a pretty decent amount today.

A lot of vintage toys are worth big bucks today. Mainly b/c back in the day kids took much better care of their toys. You can find almost mint condition ones still out there. Can t say the same for most of the toys from the 90s and beyond unless someone bought them specifically to collect, and didn t let anyone play with them. Kids don t generally respect their toys today. I know we did growing up as you didn t get replacement toys, so you played with them but also wanted them to last a long time before they broke.
I want to catalog what toys remain and sell some off. We got originally Star Wars, transformers, cabbage patch dolls, my little pony, hot wheels, gi joe, etc. at one point there was a Sesame Street fisher price apartment building play set with all the characters but I think it got sold at a garage sale years ago.

my plan is to invest my fortune in old toys everyone has. and after everyone sells me there old toys they dont play with anymore, theyll have sellers remorse. and their concious will begin to torment them, until they come back to me, begging that i sell them back their old fisher price stuff. and then i will chuckle, and sell them back their stuff for twice what i bought them for. and then ill be the richest evil toy genius on earth. and after the people realize that they no longer have any money for food and shelter, theyll come crawling back to me to sell me their toys again. and ill just chuckle, and buy them from them at an even greater price. and the vicious cycle of my amazing plan will continue

As someone who has an interest in auctions (not eBay though; you may see some really dumb prices there, I would say that the really big prices come for unopened boxes containing the toys. Then excellent condition but used toys plus the box. And then it goes down by steps to next to nothing for well-worn and no box. If you want to sell your stuff, don't get your hopes too high. That way you shouldn't be disappointed but you might be pleasantly surprised.

For us growing up during the 1960/70/80, our lives was filled with plastic toys and lots of other plastic items. We loved it all and for us it was a common, an almost natural thing.
Then one day we were told plastic is the big, bad monster who destroys the environment, and some are even blaming us for it.
Still, no one can take away our childhood memories with all those marvelous toys, shampoo bottles, mugs etc.

I've made good money off my GI Joe's, but I turned THOUSANDS flipping my extreme death/black/thrash metal shirts from the 1990s. Even with holes in some, people didn't care and paid 10x the amount they cost initially. Glad I listened to my friend when she said wash cold, inside out, and never put them in the dryer. Line dry 'em, man. they'll last forever! Thanks, Rayshele. best financial advice I ever got!

I had the nursery school with the bus and play ground equipment and my favorite thing to play with was the toilet! I also had the house and my niece who was age had the farm. We would be in little people world. I was a brunette and she was blonde so I was the one in the blue and she was in red I think. I had a house fire in 2000 and I don t have any of that stuff anymore. Makes me sad

I had most of these toys, but my fave was the medical kit, which I still have, in mint condition. I was 4 when my parents bought it, in 1978, and now I have grands, and they love looking at it. We also have the record player with all the records, and we listen to it EVERYTIME they come over. I have the Farmer in the Dell running through my thoughts all day.

My grandma had all these toys, we had to put everything away just how we found them or else we couldn t play with them next time.
She had every set you could think of, she had the cash register. I still have my Sesame Street set, it s in awesome condition, no it s not. I was the 3rd kid to get it passed down, my siblings were so yeah.

Weid History - You should do a video on vntage cameras, especially Polaroid. I used to sell on E. b. a. y and was shocked to see how much they were selling for. Some would go for as much as 200+. Not too sure why but I was finding all I could to flip them online.
The real popular white with red button Polaroid were really a big hit.

P. S: Everytime I eat Goulash, cut up hot dogs in Spaghetti & Tree Top Apple juice. it takes me back to Preschool meals. Yummmm

I had the castle, the cash register, the house, the garage, and the farm. I drove my parents crazy with the mooing door, but I loved it. My absolute favorite was the houseboat, and I vividly remember taking it all over the world on various expeditions that took place all over our house. Wish I still had all of them.

I have nearly all of those Little People sets! I don't think I had the full set of all of them as I think we got many of them from garage sales. But I loved them so much I was still playing with them with my little brother well into Elementary school. The garage gas station we used with our match box cars.

Yuck think about the germs that have been growing on them for the past 30 years after babies put all this stuff in their mouths. Who is nostalgic enough about being a baby to spend 300 on this junk? Collecting dolls/figures from childhood I understand but collecting straight up baby toys is strange

Family still has the complete barn set. Door still moos but the horse recently fell apart due to old age I remember the parking garage set really well too. I can still remember the smell of the plastic coins from the cash register set Good times, man.

I loved the Adventure People line! The space series figures like X-ray man and woman, Opticon, Clawtron, and especially, Brainoid are rare in good condition and command good money especially when cared or mint in package. The whole AP line is amazing!

You forgot the fisher price fun with food play kitchen that came out in the late 80s early 90s. Best play kitchen ever and even the smallest accessories for them can be worth 100s. The kitchens themselves are about 300 to 500 bucks via ebay.

I remember in the 2000s in kindergarten that our toy area had the Little People Barn that moos when you open it. We found it really funny when you opened it since it degraded that it sounded like a demon calling for our souls.
