Pompeii that movie is so historically wrong it’s plain fiction. From the costumes, to Pompeii somehow being located in Britannia the fact that gladiators are slaves is also very wrong insinuating Pompeii had a coliseum THE FACT THAT POMPEII IS IMPLIED TO BE IN ENGLAND! The director spent all his budget on studying the tsunami and volcanos of Japan to be historically and scientifically accurate. But he failed that too since once again Pompeii isnt located in some mystical location that is somehow tropical beach England and japan oh and they portray Pompeii as a very important political city

They did the same thing with Argo as they did with U-571. USA took most of the credit, pushing the Canadian effort lower. When in fact even the President of the USA at the time admitted it was inaccurate and the Canadians did 99% of it and the USA played a very minor role. but USA if famous for revisionist history.

I wonder if the narrator notices the lack of views when he's not there. I get it, everybody needs a break, time off etc. But these other people lack the zing, the pow that I love from the original guy

I fault some of them for their historical inaccuracies. It really depends on how much they’re trying to present themselves as being historical vs just being entertainment that’s set in the past.
