Pregnancy can be pretty terrifying for expectant mothers. Even a normal, healthy pregnancy is accompanied by intense bodily changes and hormone shifts that can be extremely difficult to cope with. Yet none of that can come close to the horrors of what happens when women perish while pregnant. As it turns out, babies born in coffins is a thing and it's more terrifying than the bubonic plague. The phenomenon is commonly known as coffin birth, and it's a completely natural occurrence. To read more about coffin birth, go here:

In 2004 me and my son almost died. I went into labor at 24. 5 weeks, he was born weighing only 1 pound by C-section. A couple hours after giving birth I went into septic shock, I had organ failure and my C-section burst open. I was hospitalized for a month and after that I came home with a nurse. My son faced the same issue. His small intestines burst, necrotizing colitis, he was such a little fighter. He went through hell trying to survive. he suffered and battled one thing after another. He was so tiny.
My son will be 20 years old in November and we have a special bond that is unbroken.

This is exactly what happened to Shanann Watts after her husband, Chris, murdered & then buried her in a shallow grave. She had been about 15 weeks pregnant when he killed her & their unborn son, Nico, along with his daughters, Bella & Celeste, back in August 2018. The autopsy report stated that postmortem fetal extrusion had occurred when her body was found. Such a tragic story.

It is a Halloween edition where the Reese's Puffs are shaped like bats!
Inspired by the Weird History video Why Was the 80s the Golden Age for Sugary Cereals and the Weird History videos about Halloween.
I wonder if Batman eats this for breakfast.

OK, well then! On a more positive note: If a pregnant woman becomes wounded the fetus will try to save the mother.
I used to be a fireman & all I can say is, did any of these scientists ever even inquire with someone in the medical field about this! I mean I'm pretty sure the reason would have been known since literally the first time it happened.

I don’t find this shocking, it seems to be a natural process; nature doesn’t care about our thoughts and feelings. I find it sad for the deceased mums and babies who never got to live.
But, of course, weird old men have to turn it into books and films and sensationalise this topic. That’s what shocks me.

The fact that 1/3 of all women are now delivering by c-section does not represent medical advancement but the creeping overreach of a medical fad. C-sections ought to be rare and only used in emergencies, not because the doctor wants to plan his delivery schedule or the mother is gasp a few days late giving birth.

Today I learned about another reason I will voluntarily never be pregnant. I fully respect anyone's decision to be child free or to decide to end a pregnancy. The process is dramatic and permanently life altering, not to be taken lightly by any means. Much love to parents and non parents alike.

One of the most recent and well-known cases of coffin-birth was Shannon WattsFor those unaware, in 2018 Shannan Watts was murdered by her husband who buried her in a shallow grave. She was pregnant when he killed her and sadly she gave birth to her son, Nico, in the grave. Incredibly tragic story.

I survived a placenta abruption at 15 weeks. I bled for 17 hours before they realized I wasn't having a normal miscarriage. This was after I had gone to the er and sent home. I needed 2 blood transfusions but sadly it was too late for my little girl.

Sometimes the thought of cremation freaks me out, but then I remember I don't want all sorts of non-consensual stuff happening to my corpse after I die by archaeologists and remember why everyone in my family decided to go the cremation route.

Way way back when a woman died, and was pregnant, upon her death, they presumed the baby died as well. The woman was buried as she was. and well, yes, it did happen. No telling how many coffin births actually happened we do not know about.

I learned from the Video, but whomever chose to put that Bell background Tone in the Video obviously needs their ears checked. It was wrong and horrible choice for background music and physically hurt! Had to leave the Video.

I have seen one horror movie that used coffin birth as a part of its plot. It was a Korean horror film, Arang, and it was definitely not a posthumous birth. The scene is pretty grim, even by K-Horror standards.

Should this be shown to force-birthers, I wonder Because not ALL pregnancies are uneventful miracle of life, no matter how much they lie to themselves.
And Mother Nature always gets the Last Word.

my one of the arteries on my hear ruptured after I gave birth to my third child. I required a double bypass at age 31. It's believed that my hormones weakened the arterie during each pregnancy.

I've heard of cases where the mother was kept alive by machines until the baby could be delivered (although technically brain dead, which is kinda gruesome, but this is really macabre.

I don't understand why a coffin birth would make the deaths any more sadder than if coffin birth didn't occur and the unborn fetus or baby stayed dead inside the pregnant mother.

My mom passed 53 weeks ago today. I was her 3rd and last but she was on labor with me for 37 hours. She was such a good mom and would fight a tablesaw for his kids.

Scott Peterson dumped his 8 mo pregnant wife into the SF Bay. Weeks later, the mother (Lacy) was found. then the child was found separate. Yes, he was convicted.
