Why was there ransom note while the person for ransom is in the basement And if ever it was an attempted kidnapping and the victim meant to be kidnapped eventually died during the crime, why leave a ransom and leave behind the dead victim inside the house where you supposedly abducted the victim Why was there NO phone calls from kidnapper/s Given that the boulder police failed on doing proper procedural steps in securing a crime scene, still Linda Arndt, the first police officer to respond, she was able to take mental notes and later on observation which later on written down as a report. We have to keep in mind that whoever staged this crime, they would have tried to wipe out DNA evidence and other trace evidence.
In this day and age where there so many behavioral experts who study body language on the internet, we can somehow learn to spot people who are NQR and sus during interviews. So, take note of how John Ramsey uses third person pronoun while being interviewed, instead of saying my daughter, he said this child. I have so many other insights on this case for I have followed this unsolved case for decades. The first time I have read on this case was from people magazine while I was 18 years old and now I am in my early 50s it is still unsolved and I am still following this case. As we get closer to Jonbenet’s death anniversary all I and or we can do is hope that in the near future, justice will be given to this child. If not in this lifetime, hopefully in my children’s.

Just like 99% of so called journalists you ignorant fools left out the most important key evidence. Evidence that ruled out the whole Ramsey family. Foreign DNA was found on her underwear and a profile was created in Jan 1997 that conclusively ruled out everyone who lived there.
In addition, there was definitive evidence that the blow to the head and ligature strangulation happened at the same time as death occurred. This rules out any scenario of staging the scene after a hypothetical accident. She also had DNA in her fingernails, likely from the perpetrator, and that DNA also did not match any member of the family.
There is a less than 1% chance any member of the family is guilty. The weight of the evidence since 1997 proves an intruder did it. Omitting well known key evidence is just as bad as lying. This is subpar journalism!

I find it interesting that it’s never mentioned that the family was completely ruled out as suspects, including the young son, in 2008 by Bode Labs. Using touch DNA, which was new at the time, and comparing blood standards along with the clothing she was wearing and clothing found nearby, they were able to EXCLUDE the family. The Boulder DA sent an apology letter to Jon Ramsey stating that while they could exclude the family and they do now have positive results that match one person, they just don’t have that person’s information in CODIS (Combined DNA Index System. Bode in a highly regarded company in VA used to identify people and criminals. But it’s much more fun to speculate and continue with the sensational news. Will it be solved Unknown. Did she know her killer Probably.

It will soon be 30 years since this sorrowful thing happened. That's a very cold trail. If a family member did it, my money's on Burke. And I will just say the feeces issue is the giveaway of the underlying condition he has that leads me to this conclusion.
If it wasn't a family member I think her killer will join the Jack the Ripper Club of killers that are never known or caught. This is not nearly as rare as most people believe, unfortunately.

This story is always so sad, I wish we could get a resolution but unless the killer confesses I don't think we will. Alot of the evidence is emotionally charged and I feel the case is too skewed for anyone to really look at it objectively anymore

Everyone is looking at the brother and not the dad/parents. The brother is not right in the head and shows signs of some sort of extended abuse/trauma in that household as well something wasn’t right There’s always been whispers by locals there that her father was allegedly doing some very sheisty things to make money off of her and his son.

If the much older brother was from a previous marriage that makes him a half brother, not step brother. They have the same dad. If JonBenet had a different dad, THEN they would be step siblings. Siblings = both parents are same. Half sibling = share one parent while other is different. Step sibling = both parents are different.

Two years later they thought Clinton should step down for abuse of power. Not shockingly, these same people voted for trump.

i dont know if it will every be solved, the crime scean got contamated badly, the place where it happen did not have many kiddnapping and murders so the cops did not know what to do. Last i heard they have two pieces to test but the county need to ask for help and will not.

I've always thought Burke accidentally killed her and all the bizarre evidence/clues afterwards were 2 parents trying to protect their living son. If you look at it from that angle, the puzzle pieces fall into place.

No, I think the case was botched from the very beginning and there's just too much contamination of the crime scene. Someone may eventually confess, but I doubt the investigators will ever solve the case on their own.

I didn't know there were older siblings other than the one brother who I still to this day think is the one that did it, probably out of jealousy, and the parents covered it up to protect him.
