Philip of Spain saved Elizabeth from the block and persuaded his wife, Queen Mary to let her sister keep her head. and what about the trumpeted triumph of Britain over Spains Armada? It was short lived when Britan retaliated with its own armada against Spain a year later, but which saw it totally destroyed. but lets forget it. whitewashed from history unless you are in Spain.

You forgot to mention that due to the rumours surrounding what Thomas Seymour did to Elizabeth ultimately contributed to her being locked up for treason and nearly being executed after Seymour was found outside Edward VI's bedroom- it was only because she put on such a show of chastity and piety that the privy council and the king decided that she couldn't possibly have done anything wrong.

The fixation on Elizabeth being a cougar in this video is pretty ridiculous though. Lol. Yeah, during those times in particular, her being unwed and sleeping with much younger men was considered scandalous, but. all of the male rulers married young girls that often could have been their granddaughters.
