Despite the fact that she was quite tiny, Queen Victoria looms large over most of the 19th century. She was every bit a woman of her time, engaging in the overblown sentimentality and culture of death so pervasive during the age that bears her name. When she died at 81, the queen left secret, detailed instructions on how to handle her body and what items to place in her coffin. There are, indeed, a number of strange Queen Victoria death facts worth exploring. To read more about the contents of Queen Victoria's Coffin, go here:

0: 01 Er, she was never Queen of England. There hasn't been a Queen of England since 1707. There hasn't even technically been an ENGLAND as a separate kingdom since 1707 legally speaking. She was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and Empress of India. She was a Queen who lived in England and England's Queen, but never formally a Queen of England.
I mean, when your opening salvo is a research cockup that kinda undermines the whole video.

There is a 1997 movie called Mrs. Brown, starring Dame Judi Dench, about Queen Victoria's alleged relationship with Mr. Brown. And, a 2017 movie called Victoria & Abdul, also starring Dame Judi, about the friendship the Queen had with a young Indian servant of hers. Good movies, great acting. Of course, don't take them as academic sources.

The reigning monarch of the UK is _not_ the Queen/King of England (since the unification with Scotland, that is. Victoria was the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and after 1876, The Empress of India (Victoria Regina et Imperatrix - Victoria, Queen and Empress.

Queen Victoria’s white wedding dress had nothing to do with purity, that was something invented in the 20th century. She chose white to better display the lace as she wanted to support the English cottage industry for lace.

Her being with that man should not have mattered. She was entitled to love who she wanted. I mean for gosh sakes at least they weren't related. What her son did was petty.

I had read that she had a close friendship with a younger man from India. The family really didn’t approve of him and had him sent back to India.

What! They didn't drop in her beloved and well-worn uterine harness! Garcon, fetch me my uterine harness. I want to mingle with the peasants.

The 81 years of Queen Victoria; s life brought the motorcar, electricity, the still camera, the motion picture camera and the phonograph.

Glad they didn't listen to Princess Margaret. They say she was always a spoiled brat. Hearing a no now & then would've done her good

How did she die Being old af. Most likely not from remorse for the starvation of hundreds of thousands of Irish. Perhaps she's warm.

Queen Victoria went out with more sentimental stuff than I bring to a weekend trip. Imagine the luggage fees for that coffin!

The idea of the british royal family being angry that Reeds have something the royals feel belongs to them is wild ironic

Scribbled on the right side of the coffin, was scratched faintly:
