I think this video is a little too simplistic. You have to define the edge distance used to separate the halves. If it's atomic or subatomic nobody would notice. It would have to be AT LEAST a few kilometers to be globally devastating.
Furthermore unless you lived near the fault line or the split was thousands of km, gravity would not be altered that much.
I worked out the math for two semi-spheres. Assuming the halves aren't pushed away from eachother, gravity wouldn't change even 1% until you moved to a few hundred kilometers of the fault.
The biggest problem would be that our magnetic field would be affected which would increase the prevalence of cancer & possibly interfere with satellite capabilities

I actually had a dream inside a dream where the aliens cut the earth in two parts with a giant alien circular saw. Then i woke up in the drwam realising that i was not dead. Then i woke up agian realising that even that was a dream.

It really depends on the size of a cut.
I heavily doubt earth would just split in to two earths since gravity would pull 'em in.
But sure, it'd mean a lot of magma flow between splits though.

Ok we turned on eachother literally like 4 days into a pandemic that, while dangerous and serious, is not anything compared to this. Humans would kill eachother before the earth finished splitting
