i like the what if scenarios. However, materials mining from earth makes no sense, there are single comets out there consisting almost entirely of iron, platinum or ice, and they would be much easier and more efficient to harvest. The argument that aliens might not understand our radio signals is also very unlikely, radio waves are very basic and emitted by many other causes in space, so if someone is traveling through it they will receive them and recognize a strange non natural pattern quite easily. But terraforming even though very futuristic and scy fi like, that could be a huge problem if they are way more developed than us. We have no comparison to other species outside the earth, maby we are very smart or maby we are very dumb in comparison. But probably we never find out since we also dont know how likely it is for life to come in existence.

Earth isnt a nice planet to take over, a thick atmosphere, liquid water, and that is very corrosive, all sort of organisms who will comprimise alloys, no mars and the moons of Jupiter and the other gasgiants are much more interessing, and easier to terraform, even the moon will be more interessing than earth, earth is only important for us, new what if: aliens Will terraform mars

Metals, gas, water or any kind of resources are abundant everywhere in the universe. They don't have to travel million of light years through space just to collect them from our planet.
And no, they won't need us human to be their slave too. Its gonna be easier for them to create robots to do whatever they need them to do. Humans are not that reliable anyway.

With Earthlike planets will have to have humanlike intelligent life, in my opinion, and if they intelligent then they have humor and art and imagination and curiosity because that is what intelligence means to me! they would look a lot like us and ask our same questions.
