This whole thing about radiation. Most if not all the nuclear attacks will happen in an airburst 1000s of feet up in the air. This not only gives it a much higher destructive power due to the desperation of energy but also it minimizes the amount of radiation that will be left over. It would not be anywhere near the same amount experienced in hiroshima. My 2 cents.
