What If You Stopped Brushing Your Teeth?

This man didn't brush his teeth for over two years. And unfortunately, he had to get a lot of his teeth removed due to them decaying. This is what would happen if you stopped brushing your teeth for two years, but what would happen if you stopped forever? How much bacteria lives inside your mouth? How could this affect your overall health? How long could you last before your teeth fell out?

Well, this isn-t entirely true and say what you will but I-m an excellent case study for this.
So since I was a child, I-ve brushed my teeth on an average of once a month. And believe it or not, for the most part my teeth are white! To be Frank my wife who brushes her teeth twice a day, has yellower teeth than I do, has had a number of cavities, and one tooth fall out. (It-s been replaced of course) but for me, I-ve had one cavity in my entire life and it was filled drilled out and filled in years ago here-s my normal symptoms based on claims in this video,
No, my teeth aren-t yellow, in fact today was my brush day, and they look as pearly white as anyone else I know,
Yes, I have all of my teeth. (I would hate it if I didn-t love my smile!
No, I don-t always have bad breath. This is where I think a lot of people are mislead, sure in the mornings I have bad breath, everyone does. But by the time I-ve had breakfast, and a drink. (Assuming I didn-t have something overly smelly like fish) the old bacteria would be replaced with new bacteria, and the smell goes away.
Gingivitis? Well of course there-s some inflammation. But not like in the video, really the only time I experience any discomfort or bleeding is when I brush my teeth. But it-s temporary and goes away within an hour of brushing.
Yes I-m able to hold conversations with those around me, again my breath doesn-t produce a noticeable Odor unless it-s in the morning.
Why? Well, I like living naturally. I felt like even as a kid brushing my teeth with all those chemicals felt wrong. And so I hid it from my parents. And I suppose over time my body became used to it. And I never changed the habit.
Now do I reccomend this to anyone? No, honestly I think I was gifted with good genes, because I feel like a normal person wouldn-t be able to do this and achieve the same results. I appear to be completely different than to what-s expected.
But I think that since I never really developed the habit when I was young, that my body never depended on it in the first place allowing my mouth to be more like an animals. Self cleaning and such.
Hope it helps!
Edit: I never liked candy as a kid either nor any processed sugar and such. Just wasn-t my thing. That could have also played a huge role

I'm not worried. I brush regularly and floss weekly (how many days a week varies, sometimes all 7, sometimes one day only, but actually what helps is the fact that I go in for a cleaning every three months. My teeth don't bleed and the cleanings don't hurt. For those who don't understand back then I would go in for a cleaning once a year and it would hurt like hell, but now it doesn't hurt at all cus my teeth are cleaned so often. That's my reccomendation, if you brush regularly but don't floss as much as you should then go in for deep cleanings at your local dentists office at least every 3 to 4 months and you will notice a significant difference in your overall dental health.

As someone who stopped brushing their teeth due to depression at the age of 13 and only recently got back into doing it again about 7 years ago due to losing a tooth and in threat of losing two more. yeah, please do not stop doing any form of personal hygiene even if you're depressed. Just do a little bit, anything is better than nothing.
is like. I know I am not doing as much as I should but I really am trying. Depression really does kill motivation and will to do things.

My Uncle is mentally Retard, he is only able to eat and bathe by himself and he has not brushed or rinsed his mouth in almost 48 years. Most of his teeth are gone, some have major cavity but rarely complains of Pain and has a few front teeth intact.
Also he has digestive issues as he does not chew the food properly but his breath does not stink. idk but thank god.

I hate everything related to teeth, I brush, floss and mouthwash twice a day and still have cavity problems, I may be the only person in the world who has this problem but you guys make it just very simple when it is not, I haaaaaaaate teeth and gus and saliva and mouth I hate this part of the body, I spent alot of money on these organs
reply

You didn't factor in people who eat strawberries and eat naturally good foods that clean your teeth? -
The mouth is always wet cleaning itself. You should be fine as long as you stay away from sodas, candy, sugar, salty, and greasy foods. Of course there's also cigarettes and alcohol which is self explanatory.

There are people who don't brush their teeth for months or years at a time. One glance at their mouth and you can tell and smell. And there are people that kiss them in the mouth. I could never.
Nasty!

I met a girl who wanted all her teeth to fall out so she could get implants, so she never brushed her teeth. Never. She was developing all sorts of health problems.

I used to never brush my teeth. Went almost 2 years not brushing. Teeth are fine. Just slightly yellow. Never had a single cavity. It all depends on the person
