Idk how correct the -earth would spin faster- assertion is.
TL; DR: because the video says -we don-t know HOW the moon was destroyed- (verbatim) that means you are making ZERO assumptions on how it-s chunks would be distributed and spread so you literally cannot answer how the earth-moon angular momentum would change for the individual bodies involved.

The planet has been slowing down because the moon has been drifting away, and the slowing of us has been conservation of angular momentum since the moon is tidally locked. So this entirely depends on the method of impact. If a rogue planet hit the moon dead on from in front of its orbit, the earth could actually have longer, if it were the opposite, then it would speed up. But it also depends how much of the moon leaves earth sphere of influence. If the moon just magically -blipped- and everything else was -the same- the earth moon systems angular momentum would be the earths angular momentum because the moon doesn-t exist. In that case, the earth would only spin a little more. That-s a magically scenario tho and obviously is impossible, but just for the sake of understanding how this happens. Assuming an even explosion from the core, the whole system would lose angular momentum as somewhere around than half the moon leaves our planet-moon system depending on surface velocity. The system isn-t closed anymore so now you-re talking angular momentum of the solar system basically, since the moon chunks leaving don-t have effect on us. But the pieces raining down would then decrease the planetary systems moment of inertia, so with the -half- that fell down joining into one centralized mass we would spin faster. It-s just a matter of HOW much faster.
If I-m being honest, in any realistic scenario we-d spin faster, but given the hand waving unknown of HOW the moon got booped you really can-t make any claims that involve the difference in our rotations bc that involves assuming all the moons mass fell down to the surface which isnt really likely. Some scenarios of this could lead to us instead having MULTIPLE moons instead of just one really big one (relative to the parent planet size, which would then spread out the orbits of the moons further than just the one we have now. In that case, the earths rotation could actually SLOW down, but again, without knowing the means of the moons destruction, or just assuming one, it is literally impossible by the definition of this scenario to make any conclusions at all about that.

Had a dream i work nights so i sleep in the day time i had this dream today! That i felt heat coming in the window was so hot so i looked outside stars was in my room and outside when i looked at the moon it was really red and it was slowly breaking away and it started to rain ashes and everyone was choking on it i felt it choke me in the back of mu throat and it was windy strong winds and i told everyone wer going to die and all familys got together and hugged and prayed and all material things didn-t matter als that mattered in them last moments was beeb around the people we loved it was a horrible dream i woke up crying i thought it was real hope its not a message from god. - wen it exploded i woke up from the dream and thanked god it wasent real

Y'all are paranoided stuff like this is going to happen do not worry because the end of the world is going to be by rocks fireballs none of this other stuff because that can wipe us out so we're going to the sky is going to crack open and how much are fireballs are just going to destroy us it's going to end by fire last lifetime and by floating water

i wish they would get rid of this part of the video. showing that many satalites spinging around the earth saying if we try to leave we'll hit one. but yet. nasa doing videos of the iss an not a damm thing of spinning satalites floating in space. so which is it. space with a billion satalites or nothing at all.
