We had a few more bombs ready for Japan lol the 3rd one was flying above Tokyo during the surrender just in case the Japanese tried anything funny so your statement that it would have taken many months was false. And we did not make a uranium bomb and a plutonium bomb for the purpose of because we didn't have enough uranium or materials to make the bombs. Because you have to enrich uranium and use it in a reactor too get plutonium. The plutonium process was way more complicated. And honestly I hate people like you who are talking about a subject without doing any kind of research we had massive factories why do you think we had half of a million people working they were all scientists 90% of them were Factory workers refining it it wasn't like a high-tech lab by the end of the Manhattan Project it was very much a factory setting. We had nuclear material to spare

What I would want to know is what a cold war with a Nazi empire would look like instead of a Communist empire.
Since we survived the cold war with the Communists we know we made the right choice in beating the Nazis if for no other reason than the cold war with the Communists resulted in no nuclear wasteland but would a cold war with the Nazis end up differently?
There are many questions that would be hard to answer for example the Communists toned down big time when the war was over (read De-Stalinization) but would the Nazis have done the same?
How would their Eugenics program continue in the alternate timeline? So many questions to ask indeed.

I waited for your version of what if germany did not declare war against the u. s. after pearl harbor! In fact Germany condemned japan for the sneak attack against the u. s! As though hitler didn't think much of the u. s. he didn't think much of the Japanese either! And if he was told he could possibly stop most of the u. s. supplies given to Britain if he condemned the Japanese he might do it! And how can the u. s. declare war against germany if germany condemned the Japanese attack on them without looking like the aggressive ones to the u. s. public!

I hardly think our world would have changed much, otherwise than Moscow being slightly destroyed, Operation Bagration was a success because the soviets simple beat the germans in inteligence, deception and offensive powers so much, that they simple would destroy Army Group Center anyways, opening the path to Berlin. By june, the operation was already planned, and I just think its funny, if the germans had a atomic bomb, they would have no way to delivery it, they had no strategic bomber as USA

All and all a good video but in a foot note you said something along the lines of it weirds me out hos if Germany won WW1 einstein would have worked for the Kaiser. But I don't think this would have translated to him developing a nuclear bomb for Germany. Einstein constantly said that its foolish to identify with nation and rather he viewed himself as a citizen of humanity and it was only when confronted with the great evil that was the axis powers that he put aside his pacifist beliefs.

The extremely scary thing is that the scientist who did (arguably by far) the most important work for the development of the U. S. nuclear program was Enrico Fermi. A man who was very happy working under Mussolini until his jewish wife said they must leave Italy.
I could see it as very likely that the Italians could have had a nuclear bomb in early 1944 (6 years after Fermi got the nobel prise for his research of nuclear energy) if his wife would not have been Jewish.

Had they succeeded then perhaps they could have negotiated a peace treaty with the west faster, but also the Soviet system has one other major problem power vacuums led to infighting, had Moscow & Stalingrad been turned into super radioactive ash fields, chances are the amount of infighting would case the Soviet Union to splinter at alarming rate, blowing up London would not make sense,

The only thug I disagree with is Kazan becoming the USSR's capital. It makes sense in 1941 when the Germans can see the spires of the Kremlin. If it got nuked in 1944, I see Stalin setting up in the old Winter Palace in Leningrad. It is the old Tsarist capital so it has the infrastructure and after fighting a 2 year siege it would have good propaganda value.

There was a news story from some years back that a German man had found the German WW2 nuclear arsenal. One of the rumors I heard was all the nuclear weapons used were German, and had been invented years before. The project was apparently done behind Hitlers back and when he found out he was furious. He simply refused to use them.
