It was kinda weird to see such a broad dismissal of class warfare - while pointing to American middle class jobs fleeing overseas. but I mean, the upper class made the ultimate decision to ship them away. and lay off their own workers here.
And ok. maybe thats just inevitable in a sense. but the top 0. 1% gets richer and richer, the average ceo pay is higher then ever, while the average worker bares the cost of the 1% donating to political campaigns, (their Buddies as it were) and keeping rules rigged, or lobbying to rig new ones. in favour of making sure workers stay in this exploited, lower middle class, non unionized state. so they can have a 5th yahct instead.
Jeff bezos decides to park an ambulance outside a warehouse permanently for his contractual labourers - instead of just installing ac to prevent heat stroke. as it was cheaper to just deal with the inevitable heat stroke.
So im stuck here going some of your points could be true for some things, and completely untrue for others. and maybe for the SAME person. so Im not sure what the ultimate point of this myth was, in relation to the others.
I feel that Navajo example you gave is a good way to wrap up my final point on this. maybe a man whos happy and doing well DID step on others to earn his happiness. in a way wed consider unethical - (consider Hitler in late 1930s)
While maybe, youre correct, and Jeff Bezos deserves to have more money then Cyprus. I think its too wide a scope to really say for certain one way or the other.
And I got lost on what your ultimate point was on that topic anyway

Ok ok I think we need to hit the brakes for a moment on the good guys won the war. ww2. Did they? Are we taking into consideration the subsequent infiltration of high ranking Nazis into America? Project Paperclip a Trojan horse? Did the Nazis have a long game? Did they really lose? You could consider NASA a Nazi organization. How about the 3 letter alphabet agencies. Did Otto Skorzeny have a role or Gehlen? Or other Nazi sympathizers or Americans whom happen to be no different than if they were born in Germany in the 1910's n the 1920's? How many Jews were killed? How many Native Americans were killed, displaced? Blacks and a long running slave system. What if the Nazis eventually curbed thier racist ideals, say 50 years after a hypothetical win of WW2, or after Hitler's eventual death? Would that make them better or worse than America? Who's to say that the world today is really much different than if the Nazis would have as you say, won the war. I don't think we can definitively say it would, or that it might be a better standard of living for the majority of its citizens. America and its covert action/wars by its CIA and such have caused misery worldwide. Toppled democracy in Iran, and the list is long my friend. Let us not get caught up in believing we are worthy of being called good guys. Is it not possible that whoever won the war made no difference on the outcome because maybe the real ruling power who maybe rules from behind a curtain would be the same today regardless of who won the war? And is the progress you speak of more beneficial to the people living it than the cyclical life lived by the others?

I have my differences of opinion with him, and i don't agree with everything here, but most of it is a nice pragmatic cutting through the BS. As a skeptic apathist (apathetic atheist (i stopped caring about religion unless you use it as an excuse to hurt someone, who dislikes dogma in general in all forms) that is also a pragmatic optimist and actively engaged in my community, one of the the things that annoys me the most is his portrait of atheists as a nihilistic dogmatic view. I think i would consider my value system as pseudo-hedonistic, optimizing for more pleasure and less pain, with weighing of importance placed on physical and social (graph) distance from myself in an inverse logarithimic tapering off manner, but never zero (all humans have value. I also want to emphasize that I'm in no way anarchist, and believe that both true anarchy and anarcho- organized states (like anarcho-capitalism) allow bullies and sociopaths to amass power and create tyrannies, so you need the right amount of regulation and accountability to prevent that going too far. It's important to have good leaders (not bosses or rulers) on all levels who understands power and knows how to wield it while also being compassionate and considerate to improve the lives of those they lead. The combination of all those at the same time are unfortunately not that common, with most leaders typically having mostly one or the other side of it.

They also discovered through epigenetics the fact that things are not solid the way they once believed at all, and the toxic waste they have illegally dumped, and all the ones that were legally contained. -no matter how seale sealed and c placed right next to the toxic waste will change the structure of the water but next to it. I was told when I was an intern reporter for a small town for Fox News that Las Vegas has a toxic sludge of waste that they actually say that they can't do anything about. They can only monitor it
One day it's going to contaminate groundwater our ground water. anything about it except monitor whenever it reaches our groundwater They also have absolutely illegal amounts of radon that you learn about in real estate school. The radon causes a specific lung cancer that you can even test for. Everybody should get a free test sent to them whenever they move into any residence, but they keep it on the hush hush, and if you don't know you won't even think too get tested, and Sue. Crummy people. I don't know how those people can even look at themselves in the mirror. I was told that the highest concentration is in summerlin, and radon is an actual natural occurring gas there's so much of an Alaska too. The biggest problem in homes is when the concrete cracks and it seeps through this cracks.

I do want to contribute to your critique of morality as relative.
I think it's fair and true to say that Morality is relative. The examples abound, of vigorous debate over different moral positions.
While each person carries their own subjective perspective and moral views. the key is to accept that every human is an END, rather than a means to an end.
It might be impossible to list out a comprehensive, objective moral guide. but we know that slavery is wrong because those enslaved humans were not considered and consulted.
Those women did not get to participate in the norms around foot binding. The same logic allows us to argue against rape, and other forms of exploitation and suffering.
So, as I see it, morality can be can be grounded in human agreement between relevant, affected stakeholders.
Beyond that - or within that context - moral values do seem to be fairly wide-ranging & subjective/relative.

No offense mate, I like your videos and you generally seem well read but your knowledge of medieval society is one of those cases where bad info is worse than no info. You have an outdated pre 2k understanding and almost everything you said on them is either just wrong or more likely very small fringe scenarios made to be an average. This is likely caused by post medieval societies trying to make medieval society worse than it was to show their own superiority and enlightenment(much like we are doing today with our social enlightenment policies)
They didn't have bacterial studies and didn't know the why, but they were quite aware of dirt and how to avoid getting sick, in many ways they had a higher standard for cleanliness, just not the means to achieve them reliably. They deemed bad smells to bear illness(which it often denotes) and so had many policies around avoiding those things. They didn't smell each others shit or fart on their food.

How do you know what would have happened if the US didnt enter WWI? WWII may never have happened. Yes weakness breeds death, but people need to realize what strength and order represent. One mans order is another mans oppression, defense spending should be called oppression spending because that is why you are being threatened. Defense of your national interests by oppression of others national interests. In order to secure the wonderful life you currently have you must keep other nations down. It doesnt matter East or west, communist or capitalist, the pie is finite and the size of your piece comes at the expense of others. This is not zero sum, this is because resources are finite. You can generate wealth but you cant generate material resources unless you have wealth, life is unfair wealth is a human generated inequity. The bigger your piece the less there is for others, accept that and lose the illusion of morality.

I like your videos, but just have one note: When there is so much information on a single slide, it makes the viewer have to decide whether to listen to you, or to read the information. I often found myself having to pause to read the slides and then resume to continue listening and losing track of what you were driving at. When the information doesn't match up fairly perfectly with the point you're making, it detracts from what you're saying regardless of its validity, instead introducing information which has not been addressed narratively. I've heard of a 6 and 6 rule, which has helped me make more concise presentations. 6 bullets max per slide, 6 words max per bullet. That way the viewer sees it, acknowledges it, and is right back to listening to what you are saying. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Articulate, insightful, cold, callus, and beautifully horrific. People think they want to hear the truth but the truth is what you already believe and no one can tell you different, people who say they are seeking the truth are only seeking validation for their own personal truths and anyone who contradicts their truths are ignored. We live in a time where our generation if you were lucky enough to be born in a part of the world that called themselves free for a brief moment had the uncensored unfiltered emast knowledge of the world in the palm of our hands and the majority of those wasted that moment reposting other peoples clever quotes and gossiping over pointless crap that was happening in other peoples lives instead or tapping into this treasure trove of information.

There isn't and will never a way to make life fair and why would you want to? If it was fair and a catastrophic event happened no one would have the gumption to overcome it, that unfairness is WHY we strive to make it fair and push society past a bunch of overweight uneducated breeders built only to consume. I keep saying life is rarely fair what I leave off is YOU FORCE IT to be fair.
