I saw this video a few times since it was uploaded. And every time I tear up. My grandad is an amputee, he has one leg removed up to it's socket. His passive prostheses is good, it's like the best 90's technologie can make. It's newer, but the tech is the same it was when he received his first leg. I know that his quality of life would be better with a better prostheses. He is quite old (84) and he's now much weaker, so his passive prostheses while still being a help, is also more of a burden. It's a heavy piece of metal, plastic, and other stuff I can't easily carry.
I fills me with joy to know that today for many people their traumas are almost completely remedied by the technology, and sometimes technology even bestowes surplus benefits instead of all the drawbacks. I so wish this was accessible to everyone. So that otherwise healthy people would walk and run instead of using passive prostheses or, worse, a wheelchair. Racing cars and other fancy useless entertainment? Scrap that, that tech is a leech of resources which should be invested into improving the quality of life. I'm not against entertainment in general, but some of its forms are ridiculously excessive, a total waste. (Of course I know that these developments go over to other technologies like conventional cars, but they still waste a lot for. for what)

It-s great development but unfortunately they are in the business of making money so these will be so expensive that they are beyond normal working people and their amputee family members. It doesn-t matter that he says he is doing it so that people are not limited anymore by their injuries and amputations, he doesn-t mean all people but those rich enough to pay ridiculous amounts for these marvels.

whatever u do u fool u will never have the feel in the legs never have the tickle never have the touch sensation. so. u know what we mean u cant. U will never be able to take part in a DUEL. U will never be as swift as a track runner. u r nothing but a Castle of Glass. Blame it on your KARMAS.

My girlfriend has her leg amputated above the knee and doesn't believe she'll ever be able to have quality of life. She also can't afford it nor can I. But I'm gonna save up. I could buy a house or anything but no I just want to see her smile and not feel ashamed or judged by society.

Sarif was right about one thing, it's in our nature to want to rise above our limits. Think about it. We were cold, so we harnessed fire. We were weak, so we invented tools. Every time we met an obstacle, we used creativity and ingenuity to overcome it.

So what this video is implying that. we gonna be half-robot half-human with robot arms and robot legs. sometimes i think about the time. where soldiers get their brain transferred into a robot so they become a robot.

The next step would be making them economically available for the people. Sadly, in my country a barely decent prosthetic leg (ergo, anything other than a crutch or a peg leg) is just inaccessible for a normal person

Do I need to watch this to say -no-? Anything you can do with a prosthetic arm you can do with your own arm holding a prosthetic arm. A prosthetic arm holding a human arm? Not so much.

The technology is amazing and wonderful but the future won-t change so long as we still have class gaps like the Grand Canyon. Insurance won-t even cover a standard C-leg for some people.
