This is IIIIIIIITTTTT? No epic, defiant, final words, no curses, no big bangs, no final stands. I'm sorry blizzard. I had always supported you and loved your creations, but this is garbage. Critics are right. You've lost your edge. I wanted for him to make 1 last attempt to at least destroy Ammirdrassil by blowing himself up and Vyranoth sacrificing herself to contain the blast. And then new elemental proto-dragons would rise as new Incarnates and form a council with aspects. I would have also settle with Vyra trying 1 last time to calm him, him rejecting her pleas due to the loss of any hope for world they wanted when they started the war, Raszes death and her(V) siding with her(R) slayers, voicing how much he cared about their stormy sister, declaring he'll burn the world and trying to destroy her with shadowflame breath but all Aspects but would epicly, 1 by 1, and joined by Vyranoth at the end, combine their powers (drafonbreaths) to overwhelm him, turning him to ash. Epic finale to the WOWs most awesome villain. Rest in power Fyrrak the Blazing. This is even bigger waste of potential then GSDs ending. -----------------------

This kind of storytelling has always existed in wow, it's nothing new. The only shift i see is from being edgy to having characters that, for once, actually seem to like and care about each other. Dragonflight was a bit too disney for me as well, fair critique imo, but these tendencies have always existed in wow's storytelling. I can't help but feel that if wrath or tbc were released today people would despise those expansions as well. I don't think they were at all that much better written, perhaps better than dragonflight in particular but not in general. Nostalgia is truly starting to blind. Wow is still wow, it's just expanded beyond -my scars- and people yelling at each other and now characters seem to be able to have actual conversations with each other. A bit too much of that perhaps, but still - all the fighting and raging got old quite quickly. At least they're not re-hashing the exact same moments thousandfold.

I will be very surprised if the fight with Fyrakk doesn't end with his sister hugging him and then him having flashback memories of their childhood, you know, sharing an icecream when Fyrakk dropped his, everyone laughing at Fyrakk's milk moustache after a big gulp, both of them crying after their grandpa dragon passed away. Then he steps back and says, in his Mark Hamill Joker voice, -Sister, all I wanted was to be powerful-, to which she replies, -don't you see, brother, you were powerful all along. This is the only patch in the game ever that has made me regret watching the cinematics. I don't know what happened to the writing team but it feels like they used chatgpt to write the dialogue. -It was about coming together, as a family. - Seriously, who at blizz wrote this? Shadowlands had a bad story but the dialogue was nowhere near this bad.

How does a multi-million dollar company, still struggle to write dialogue and plot at a intermediate school level? Blizzard has teams of visual artists that are second to none, but their writers hardly convey any sort of qualifications what so ever. Finishing eachothers' sentences? No one with an honest education in the field would let that slide.

I haven't played this in ages and therefore am vastly out of touch with the lore but I liked that no matter what happens. when the dragon mommy calls for aid, everyone drops whatever it was they were doing and help out, lol. Everyone knows it's back to murdering each other afterwards, but mother comes first.

Is Vyranoth now the strongest among the 6 current Aspects? She's a full on primal incarnate. She is already at an aspect level of power. She was never depowered. By further empowering her, she has now double upgrades/blessings unlike the other 5. Her power is equivalent to 2 aspects.
