The reason is, Americans are now adapted to the taste of other spices and whenever they try different spices their taste bud doesn't accept that. The same thing happened to me when I came to the USA, 60% of food has no taste in it and the rest 40% is either weird taste or very spicy (yes spicy.
Imagine, who want to have vinegar & salt taste chips. That is so damn weird and doesn't taste good at all. It burns your tongue. But its an American food.

Guys I have Indian origins and I go to Mumbai or like Colombo and stuff and they have like normal big Mac and like m nuggets and stuff like that it is not just a full Indian McDonald so ya also in dubai they have some middle eastern things but mostly American McDonalds and ya well Doha doesn't have McDonalds JUST CLEARING THAT UP

Whether Indian food is HOT or SPICY depending on the degree - I do my best to avoid them all.
I don't even like Amercan hot sauce, chili, jalapenos - none of it!
