I don't know how you managed to bring together the resources to make this one, but you really should be funded to do something bigger. In some ways it reminds me of Short Circuit from the 80s, but with a serious plot, and an action screenplay. The idea of a machine being able to understand ethics isn't new, but they way you've portrayed it is

Ah, the ends justify means paradox. Either they do, in which case both the captain and the robot are right in their actions, the captain in killing the civilian and the robot in trying to stop corruption by killing many soldiers just to get to him, or they don't, in which case they are both horribly wrong.

One of the very best series I have ever seen on Dust; if not THE Best, so-far.
Well-written, well-produced and directed, well-acted. Believe-able characters, plot, ethicicity.
Congratulations and great Respect to ALL personnel involved.
Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell, Wellington, NZ.

Really Liked the ending too- Dr0ne doesn't kill him- brings him to justice, shows he's the better man(robot)- then sad they reprogram him to be a thoughtless machine. waaaait for it. overiding- nicely done mini-series- would pay to see an entire real series of dr0ne
reply

Anybody can program a sequence of commands, program a random response to stimuli. I don't know how close we are to a responsive autonomous machine but we've seen Japanese robots that could carry on a conversation. I wonder what else it could do in a combat zone

Another brilliant peice of work from Dust. And again you leave us hanging and wanting more. So I have to ask. Is there any plans to make sequels to some of the earlier productions You certainly couldn't go wrong if you were to do some I'm sure.
reply

Thoroughly enjoyed the series. nice work to all who contributed. seems like a cross between Chappie and Robocop. this could very well be a series fit for the big screen or condensed to make a full length motion picture. I know I would watch.
reply

Wow. the real RoboCop. a scenario closer to reality than that depicted by Hollywood those decades or so ago. interesting line right there too. You are taught to fight a war, but not how a war is fought
OUT FU##ING STANDING!

When 237 called Nissen, I thought, _You'd be better off if it was John Wick coming after you. _
Anyway, that was a fun, short ride. Solid story arc, logical (if cynical) conclusion. Well done!

And why wasn't this great, series continued What's the point of making these if success is achieved and, ignored It's a damned, shame.
And RIP Lance Reddick. He was a fine, actor.

reply

What's the point in reuploading a series from 2012 though Not that I have an issue with it, i love this kind of content, it's just a bit weird to me. Re-exposure perhaps
reply

A great action series, but the plot is very contrived. There was no need to create a conflict with the prime directive in order to accomplish what was needed.
reply

whole series-really well done. Thoroughly enjoyable, excellent story line and well produced. Better than any Hollywood crap that is out there now.
reply

Absolutely unparalleled. Brilliant work.
You managed to humanise both the Dr0ne and the Buddy beautifully with such brevity.
Kudos!

Fringe’ moves to Bosch’ territory where it meets The Terminator who has Mother’ issues and plays urban combat RPG games.
reply

Right, removing any programming restraints similar to moral code has always worked brilliantly in fiction (skynet anyone)
reply

This shows that war are shit, no matter who has to fight them for whatever reason.
Why can't we just all get along.

reply

Great show down at the end. That guy was kind of an asshole but at least he had the balls to fight the robot one on one.
reply

Do not fire on unarmed civilians. UPGRADE Do not allow harm to non-combatants. Let the unintended consequences roll!
reply

This is not far off the truth, this would happen in the future, and god help us all when this happens,
reply

If a drone like that was coming for me, I would be chomping down on 'Tank Chocolate', not hitting the whisky.
reply

Drone is better than pretty much anything hollywood has been trying to push! Definitely deserves more episodes!
reply

Amazing series, I loved it. Perhaps the artificial intelligence can beat one day our natural idiocy
reply

Would love to see the people from DUST do full length movies and give Hollywood some serious competition!
reply

This should be turned into something for the big screen. Kudos to all involved with this one.

I have the same red dot sight as the one on Lance's gun. It was like $4 on airsoft GI
reply

I wish they had made a full movie from those episodes! Those were so cool! Wow!

a USB stick upgrades a robot to survive an EMP impulse. great graphics, lousy script
reply

We all know the story afterwards Neo make peace with machines and save the humankind
reply

Hello. My name is Unit 237. You have killed my father. Prepare to die.
reply

Oh with an ending like that there has to be more! Please! Loved this though.
reply

Loved it. I just watched all four episodes an it made a bad day better.
reply

Wouldn't they equip their Drone with IR so he could see heat through walls
reply

I remember watching this exact thing, but years ago. Was it rereleased
