A body-jumping soldier confronts the morality of her missions in this emotionally-charged sci- thriller. Let Them Die Like Lovers by Jesse Atlas The all-important ending monologue was tragically run down by overloud music. Cant quite make out the details of her state, which hinges upon a few blurred syllables, and the answer is in them. Hey, filmmakers! Stop John Williams-ing over crucial dialogue in a concept film, you freaking amateurs. Learn to make it whisper to carry deep, not stomp all over subtle moments. That bombastic overbearing score shit is for helicopter rides and soaring crane shots, okay
Go listen to everything Alan Parsons ever sound-designed, and learn how to use a mixer for clarity, distinction, and mood. Just turning it up to eleven all the time when you are trying to feel clever is like crapping in your own soup bowl. Most of you are throwing huge acoustic mud pies all over your films.

Isn’t it nonsense, that she doesn’t agree to kill but, by taking over the body, she does, regretting it right after!
Or is it only for brainless people OR WORSE: 100% perverted people like Trump
I’m open for any decent explanation and/or explication. But I guess the need for showing such violence indicates enough of the state of mind of the authors. So this movie not only needs you avoid thinking (right) but on top, you need to switch of any humanity left.

Definitely one of the more unique productions yet provided from the DUST collection. Of course, the concept of body jumping is not entirely new, but the way this was framed within this short but compelling story was remarkably well done. Almost no special effects or CGI were needed, in fact all the sets were very minimalist. .. the story itself and caliber of acting was more than enough to deliver a compelling production.

(Brenda wrote me: She agreed to kill when she enlisted into the program she is voluntarily killing, but grows to have a conscience about it)
Thank you so much dear Brena Paduch, it now finally becomes clear and understandable for me. As I often say: I a quick learner; it suffices to explain it very clearly, extremely slowly and to repeat it often enough.

Excellent look and feel. Just the right scenes for the length of the film. Love the lo tech gear. So artfully done. Music toward the end was over bearing and poorly chosen. A problem with a lot of short films. A proper film score is a difficult thing. Still, a small complaint. One of the best of the many films I have seen on Dust.

Intriguing concept, great production, but the dialog is so. off. I can't imagine people involved is such a project talking like tweenagers. Sure, they can eventually arrive at that realization, but the dialog sounds like something conceived by a high-school drama club.

This is very similar in concept to the film Possessor which came out this year; two years after this Dust item. Of course it had a much bigger budget. Some of the violence is similar too. The ending was different though.

This is a gentle rip off of the Joe Haldeman book, All my sins remembered. There are differences but not enough to disguise it from someone who has read the book. It was a good book and this was a good video.

She's not absolved of her actions. She's a ruthless killer. She was the agent that brutally killed those people, with no remorse. Her only issue was losing her IDENTITY. and that's what the film's about

Good material for a long version. However, imagine someone use that really to change the world. To let GeeTee make his decisions. To publish information which never should be known by everyone. Scary.

So I presume that Alexa took the peg board machine in order to move from body to body And it seems that her boy friend loved her more than she loved him. There was no chemistry between them anyway.

I use to date this fat huge b_tch when I was a much younger man. Topic arise and I precede to ask her. Why don't you get some help to loose that weight She reply. this is not my body !

Very good but the shot missed. The gun was aimed such that she would not of received the bullet. It would’ve hit the side wall of the tub and glanced downward under her.

It really reminds me of a Denzel Washington film, of him chasing a supernatural entity which hops from one person to the next. Can't plug the name of the movie, though. ..

That first question. this is my body Then the second, am I safe, the third, you promise. The answer was yes. My mind said, unless you hurt yourself. Now I'll finish the film.

Wow an excellent film. The title makes sense unlike what others say. She tells herself This is not my body as a way of not feeling bad for what she has done.

The depth of the Psychology behind this film is remarkable, and gave me chills.
Please, do not stop making movies, you have a God Given Gift!

My rating is 8/10 Very good short movie! I especially liked the story about taking control of the body and psychology related to it.

The things we see as science fiction are probably already happening. We just wont live to see the truth come out.

Looking forward to the full length feature film, now in production (partially in my home town. including Bruce Willis!

If the US govt really set up a system like this, the operatives would be white males with Ivy League degrees

Why are they using so much blackface I think it is racist and inappropriate to use coloured actors in 2019
reply

Why are most of these short films not very well lit. It's really kind of hard to watch them.
reply

How far is far enough to say mission accomplished that's the real question in this film
reply

As always, it was extraordinarily good. I HATED the ending! This is NOT why we are here.

The male lead, Mustafa Shakir, will star in Season 2 of Marvel's Luke Cage on Netflix.
reply

Definitely unique. .. maybe not for everyone, but I could relate to the concept

Definitely one of the best Dust videos I've seen so far. Beautiful and haunting.
